A friend and I had wanted to visit Salem for years, and we finally got our chance. We're history buffs and always choose historic inns whenever we travel. This B&B was one of the best ever. It's the perfect cozy, casual, and restful retreat after a hectic day of sight-seeing. There are comfortable sitting rooms with big screen TVs and...

Our first B&B and because of our experience we would absolutely try another! The location is PERFECT. And ambience was great and the hospitality was outstanding. Nancy was so helpful and such a gracious host. Her breakfasts were outstanding. We are so glad we chose to stay here! If you are a dog person, they have an adorable, friendly dog...

This is a beautiful B&B, located just north of the Salem commons easy walking distance to pretty much everything. The house is immaculate, the room was great and everything was completely comfortable. Breakfast was amazing way too much excellent food. It is near a main street so there was significant street noise in our front bedroom. Also the Wi-Fi didn't...

My wife's and my positive and fun experience in Salem was enhanced by our stay with Nancy and Jim at their well located, beautiful and very comfortable B&B. Their warmth and friendliness, the intimacy of a 3 bedroom house (we enjoyed the first floor en suite bedroom), sitting rooms with large screen TV's on each floor, delicious full gourmet breakfasts...

We were in town for a wedding. Other family members stayed at a larger hotel in town and were NOT thrilled about their stay. Our stay was beyond expectation. Jim and Nancy take the comforts of home to the next level. The Amelia Payson House is not only antique adorable but conveniently located for walking, the gardens were beautifully manicured,...

Thank You for your kind review---positive comments from someone "in the business "mean a great deal. Hopefully we'll see you this winter when we have quiet time.

We found the Amelia Payson House most convenient for our visit to the Peabody-Essex Museum in Salem. In addition the house is comfortable in every way. The hosts, Jim and Nancy, are most pleasant, too.The breakfast was marvellous!

We felt welcome staying with Jim and Nancy from the moment we arrived. They are the perfect hosts! The room was lovely and had all the amenities to make any guest comfortable. Jim kept the coffee coming in the morning, and Nancy's breakfasts were delicious (and she went out of her way to accommodate my finicky teenage daughter!) Nancy and...

Our family had a great weekend staying with Nancy and Jim at the Amelia Payson house after picking our daughter up at Logan as she returned from a student trip to the South Pacific. Nancy was a pleasure to make arrangements with and her kind and caring nature came through on the phone as a start. I must say I...

Our first visit to a B&B in America and it was excellent. I booked with Nancy over the phone and she was lovely and helpful. We arrived slightly late due to our flight being delayed but everything was fine. The house is beautiful, on a lovely street and within walking distance of everything. Our room was beautiful, clean and spacious...
