I'm sure it served it's purposes and is historic, but doesn't work for today's business traveler, No TV which is ok, No place to plug in today's devices, computer, phone ,blue tooth ect ect, beds are the worst I've ever slept on, noisy as can be, I wouldn't call it AC but what the heck it's only Tucson, On the...

Thank you for your review. We are so sorry to hear your stay with us wasn’t a pleasant one! Being located in the heart of downtown Tucson above a restaurant and club can certainly pose noise issues to guests. We are diligent about informing our guests about our unique characteristics when booking a room and upon arrival, and often suggest...

My wife and I were sad to leave Hotel Congress again after our most recent stay this month. Our first visit in the summer of 2015 came about because we wanted to try something different for a business trip to Tucson. We fancy historic places with uniqueness and character, and Hotel Congress does not disappoint in those respects. We became...

My wife went in to check us in but she couldn't because only the person who made the reservation could. We made reservations over the phone and when we were told that the only King room in the hotel wasn't available I made a reservation for a Queen room. Only after we checked in did we find out that they...

We are so sorry to hear your stay with us wasn’t a pleasant one! I apologize if we did not communicate clearly about the bedding that is available at the hotel. Yes our historic rooms are not as big as what you would find in a newer hotel. The service at the bars that you experienced is not typical. I...

The hotel itself was pretty cool, the staff was super and it's in a good location for local food and stuff. The hotel restaurant served a super breakfast. My title "Nice place but..." comment is because of the noise. Some called it music but I definitely would not. Check out the other reviews about the noise. It's no exaggeration. Extra...

Thank you for the wonderful review. Sorry you didn't like the "music". The Cup Cafe has the best breakfast in town.

We stayed at Hotel Congress for a graduation. They warned us many times it would be loud due to parties all around us. They were right, but it was a great experience! It's easy and safe to walk around and visit any number of restaurants and bars until late. It was fun to people watch as the graduates partied on....

Historic maybe, but not comfortable and very, very noisy. True, we reserved on a Saturday night, and there was competing music from the LGBT event outside our window, then the Agave Festival in the hotel patio, plus the night club. People might have been smaller in the Nineteenth Century, but there was not an inch to spare in our cozy,...

The most amazing staff on the planet! Especially Abraham Cooper who should get a major "Tucson Ambassador " award for his passion and love for this city. The Congress does it all. atmosphere, service and staffing, food and drink. your in the middle of Tucson nightlife action with Congress Street on one side and access to 4th Ave. on the other. all in walking distance so your auto stays parked. Baked Eggs for breakfast, pastrami on rye for lunch. gotta visit Tucsons best bartender Barb Trujillo.

Stop here to see the beautiful hotel interior including two historic wooden telephone booths, a table made out of copper pennies, a floor of pennies in the Cup Restaurant and a corridor lined with a display on John Dillinger. Had a great time at the Congress. Indoor outdoor spot right in the heart of it all. Huge crowd but the outdoor area is large and gives you space to breathe. Usual dj dance music and club prices drinks but the character of the place is unique. Pro tip: Try the nachos..delicious!!

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Hotel Congress is listed on the National Historic Hotel Registry. We pride ourselves on the many unique features we offer that you'd be hard-pressed to find elsewhere. This historic Tucson hotel transports you back in time. Some cynical city-slicker types might notice the absence of a television in any of our 40 rooms and feel slighted. But it's intentional - we strive to maintain the Hotel's original ambiance - from the iron bed to the vintage radio, from the comforting rumble of the nearby iron horse to the retro-style phone that actually connects to a switchboard at the front desk. All rooms are uniquely designed offering an original experience every time and unlike most historic hotels, all rooms have private bathrooms, free high speed internet, and a private guest lounge. The lounge offers our patrons a large-screen television with unlimited channels as well as free computer access. You can also enjoy the exclusive outdoor patio, where you can soak-up the Tucson sunshine year round. We have new upgrades for our guests, to ensure an amazing experience during your stay at Hotel Congress. *Bike Program - We now have bicycles that our guests are able to check out to explore Tucson during their stay! We recommended guests to bike the Santa Cruz River Trail, and the Train Trail behind Maynards Market and Kitchen. Let us help you explore Downtown Tucson in a new way! *Snacks from local vendors - Enjoy some treats from our local vendors. Every room has a tray filled with a variety of snacks that are available to purchase. We have: Cactus candy, Rbar Energy Bar, Spunlight Cotton Candy, Green Valley pecans, Essentia Ionized Water, POPPED Artisan Popcorn, Cerreta Candy Co., and the Kobito Hangover and Love Kits. *Guest Room Internet - We now provide super high speed wireless Internet in our guest rooms that is 10x faster than before! ... more   less
