Desert Trails is a hidden paradise right at the edge of Saguaro NP East. John and Steffi are wonderful hosts make you feel at home right from the minute you step through the door. The property has a beautiful garden with an abundance of birds fluttering about, rabbits hopping across the yard and little geckos sunning on rocks, and there...

In Tucson for a wedding and groom's parents recommended this place as one to consider for our stay. Very glad we chose this B&B. Mica room is spacious & comfortable, tasty breakfasts, great spot for birders, friendly & knowledgeable innkeepers, relaxing environment, easy to find, quiet location; within half hour to hour of interesting things to do; decor is soothing...

This place exceeded our expectations! Everything was exactly as described. John and Steffi were so nice! Breakfast was so good! Our favorite was the stuffed poached Apple. Beds were comfortably. We stayed in the guest house which had everything we needed.

We did not want to stay at a hotel on our recent vacation to Tucson and decided on this B&B. It was a great decision. John and Steffi are great hosts and share information readily about local attractions. The B&B is at the eastern end of town - literally - and is a very short distance to a trailhead for...

Was fortunate to get a short notice reservation at the Desert Trail. Wonderful room with a wood-burning fireplace that came in handy during a chilly night,. Breakfast was delicious. Provided excellent referrals for dinner and hiking. Thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Can't wait to go back for a longer stay.

We travel to Tucson once a year, in January, for business and a few days of hiking in one of the world's most fascinating landscapes: the Sonoran Desert. Tucson is a great restaurant town, too (try Feast and the new Commoner & Co.). This year, though, our long-time favorite B&B, the Azure Gate, was booked. They recommended Desert Trails. It...

Wow! Thanks for the kind words and thanks for the professorship...if only it were true. Sadly I was just another lowly, ne'er-do-well PhD: Steffi had the real job. Thanks again and we're really glad you enjoyed your stay.

Want a wonderful ranchero-style place to stay on the edge of the Saguaro National Park? Desert Trails is it. The Dripping Springs trailhead is at the end of Speedway Blvd about a mile down the road and the Mica trailhead about 2 miles. Perfect spot for a couple of days relaxing. It is so quite that we literally were awakened...

Very peaceful to be located in the countryside of Tucson near to Saguaro National Park. Comfortable bed and delicious (and ever changing) breakfasts every day. The owners (host) are delightful and full of helpful information, but they are never intrusive. We absolutely loved our week stay.

We stayed here for the getaway weekend. The Mica room was really clean and spacious with the fireplace. The breakfast offered was very creative and tasty. John and Steffi were very friendly and always catered to our needs. We arrived late on the first night and they left friendly notes showing us the way in and helped us feel at...
