I spent a wonderful six evenings at the Sam Hughes. Susan Banner, the owner, was gracious, friendly and full of good information. The Inn itself suited me perfectly. I chose the single room, which was completely comfortable. I can't remember when I've slept so well. What I enjoy so much about an inn is breakfast and the Sam Hughes was...

Sam Hughes Inn is the most wonderful place - near the University, and with easy access to shopping and museums; truly home away from home. Susan Banner is a marvelous host, and her breakfasts were sublime. We had wonderful discussions around the table; breakfast was more like a great dinner party. The rooms are comfortable and clean; we slept as...

The Sam Hughes Inn is the place to stay in Tucson! After doing much research in regards to where to stay in Tucson, we picked this inn. My husband is deploying for a year and we wanted a place to feel like home and see some historic sites. The innkeeper Susan cooked us wonderfully delicious breakfasts each day and went...

Had a wonderful stay. Susan the innkeeper was very helpful and fun to talk too. My room was separate from the house and opened into a lovely garden. It was very peaceful. Breakfasts were tasty and the guests were interesting as well. Be sure to pet Lucy, a very sweet and gentle dog.

Breakfasts are incredibly delicious and nutritious. There is a library full of books you can read by the fireplace or outside by the fountain. The grounds are spacious and well...

The living room is an ideal place to enjoy a relaxing evening in front of the beautiful stone fireplace. Our room was relaxing, quiet, and comfortable with double french doors looking out over the gardens. The house is...

I've just returned from Tucson and can't wait to return. I stayed for a week at the Sam Hughes Inn in the historic district of the same name, near the University of Arizona. The Sam Hughes neighborhood is quiet and residential, discreetly upscale with most properties showcasing gorgeous desert landscaping. Palms and cacti are everywhere. The Sam Hughes Inn is...

I have just read the other reviews already on tripadvisor so that I would not repeat what is already there. All of the great comments already on the site are absolutely the truth. The property is clean, odour free, and is decorated in a wonderful style. The beds are very comfortable, bathrooms spotless, and lots of room. The breakfasts each...

Sam Hughes Inn in Tucson was a wonderful place to stay. Quiet, rooms very clean and nicely decorated, delicious breakfasts. They have a lovely, large garden with nice seating to enjoy the warm Arizona mornings or evenings. Susan Banner, the owner, was helpful and friendly but not overly in our presence as guests in her beautiful home. (She does share...
