We chose Rancho Merlita based upon some reviews we had seen. The setting was beautiful and the facility was interesting and well cared for. As far as a bed and breakfast we thought it was ok. There were no beverages or snacks available.....the welcome cookies were not home made and the breakfast was nice but not five star quality. We...

I am sincerely sorry that is reviewer was disappointed. I do find it interesting that she states unequivocally that our cookies were not homemade. Every cookie that we have ever served has been homemade from scratch with quality ingredients and quite a bit of care by myself and my staff in our kitchen. We have a very nice offering of...

After doing research and reading reviews, I decided to book at The Inns at El Rancho Merlita. Just the history alone drew me to this place. It is the former estate of cosmetics mogul, Merle Norman. The Inn is a B&B, which means it is more a boutique type place, not a large crowded inn or hotel, that provides breakfasts...

Hotels were all booked for University of Arizona Parent's Weekend so I picked this Inn from the B&B listings on TA. Since the rest of our trip used points for lodging I thought we'd splurge for two nights in the Arroyo Bonito room. And it was a splurge! It's a BEAUtiful, comfortable room, nice shower, amazing copper air-jetted tub, and...

Spa like accommodations. This place was a true getaway. Immaculate , convenient, peaceful , delicious gourmet breakfast. So glad we booked 2 nights. I can't say enough good things about this place. The story of the house is also fascinating. To think that Merle Norman built this ranch and used it to entertain her employees. I don't want to leave!

We just got back from a week at El Rancho Merlita. It is our second time staying there and my wife and I agree that it is the best B&B we have ever stayed at. Here are our reasons why. 1. The place is super cozy but so open with great views. Watching the birds and critters out the back...

Hi all, Myself and my friends visit the US every Summer and travel around different parts. This year, our stop included Tucson and we books the Inns at El Rancho. This genuinely has to be the nicest (or at least top 3!) of any places I have ever stayed in. The rooms were beautiful (and our friend was upgraded) and...

It is perfect in every way. The rooms are clean, cozy, well appointed and the breakfast is amazing with no...

We have stayed he numerous times and always leave saying "Isn't this place Special" This time stayed in Merle Norman suite, this bed and breakfast used to be her private ranch. The suite was extra special, jacuzzi tub, steam multi head shower. Fantastic King bed. Has a private patio. If I could find a complaint, it was that the TV...

My husband and I stayed here a few weeks ago and were overwhelmed by this lovely property. Everything was perfect and we felt right at home in this large, beautifully decorated ranch home with many private spaces. We stayed in the very pretty Black Mountain room. The landscaping, pool, fountains and outdoor areas were gorgeous. Sitting on the patio eating...
