Dinner in Providence is first-rate. There are plenty of great restaurants, especially in the Federal Hill area. Since the area is home to Johnson & Wales University, where there's one of the country's best Culinary and Hospitality programs, you'll find young students and recent grads who are working their best to further their careers. As a result, you find amazing food at the local restaurants (even the chains), and great service at the area hotels. The Renaissance always has young people working there, and they're always friendly, helpful, and professional.
The bottom line is, you can't go wrong eating anywhere in Providence.
