My parents, my daughter, and I stayed for one night - my daughter and I occupied the spacious third floor apartment, and my parents had a cozy room on the ground floor. The house is quite charming. We appreciated Annie's great taste and her willingness to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Breakfast was absolutely delicious!

We stayed in the third floor apartment for four nights in September. We had a bedroom, large bathroom, and a living room area with a comfortable sofa, a large TV and a small frig, Our stay was very comfortable, if we did not have what we needed we asked and it appeared. Our hostess was accommodating and really went out... More

My student Daughter offered my 3 nights at this place when I went to visit her for her birthday and had negotiated with the owner that she could come the second morning have breakfast with me. When I arrived, the place was clean (old place that needs serious repairs) but the owner (a British woman) wasn't nice and was kind... More

A very comfortable Place to stay, the room was spacious, clean and the beds were comfortable. The B & B is situated in a great location , tree lined and walking distance to many activities, it is about 10 min walk to Brown University and to restaurants and bars . The accommodation is close to the ferry in Providence, to... More

This accommodation is very basic. The furniture is quaint, but uncomfortable. There is no TV in the rooms. Also, there is a lot of street noise from the cars and the window coverings don't block the sunlight, so you can't really sleep past 7 o'clock. The place was in need of repair when I was there. The main ceiling on... More

Our stay at Annie Brownell House felt like home from home. It is in a wonderful convenient location and our room was very clean and the bed sumptuous. Breakfast in the morning was delicious and varied. Annie the proprietor was very friendly and helpful. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

We chose this B&B because of its affordability and proximity to Brown. When we arrived we Annie, the proprietor told us that her staff quit and she was training someone new so our room was not ready. We left and returned 3 hours later to find that the beds were still unmade. We were then asked to wait in the... More

I stayed here for 6 nights and was very comfortable. The B&B is in an excellent location on a lovely street, within easy walking distance to Brown. The home itself is beautiful, typical New England in style with lovely antiques and many books. My room was lovely, nicely decorated, bed very comfortable, and spotlessly clean. Annie was welcoming, gracious, helpful,... More

I stayed here for a weekend trip and it was comfortable and clean. The neighborhood was nice and food was available in a few blocks. It was close to all the attractions I wished to see. breakfast was good if a little later in the morning than I would have liked. The innkeeper was personabale and professional.
