With The Shining being one of my favorite movies, I had to stay at The Stanley Hotel. It did take me a little bit to find the check in desk, but I did get to look at the beautiful grounds. I stayed in one of the historical rooms, which was smaller than I expected and didn't have AC, so it...

Our main reason for staying at. The. Stanley was the Stephen King connection, but we found so much more. We stayed in Room 217 hoping to meet up with the ghost of Miss Wilson, the room was superb and luxurious although the shower was a little tricky. We took the ghost tour - run by Dan who did a fantastic...

We loved the hotel and the beauty of the area! We stayed in a beautiful deluxe room on the third floor. We also enjoyed the Whiskey Bar and The Cascades restaurant. Be sure to take a tour, you won't be disappointed! Definitely recommend bringing ear plugs if a light sleeper as the hotel certainly lives up to its infamous reputation!

The hotel was absolutely beautiful, with amazing history. We stayed at a queen room in the lodge side, and had a great experience as a whole. Daniel was our front desk/concierge and was truly amazing through our whole stay. He made our trip over-the-top. Breakfast at the lodge was simple but filling - danishes, fruit, yoghurt, and oatmeal. Little things...

I wish the girl at the front desk had been smart enough to know which hotel rooms accommodated our requests. We booked a king bed with a roll away bed for our son. The first room was missing the extra bed, which they later sent but the room was too small for it to unfold. So was the second room....

The only reason to stay at this hotel is to be able to say that you stayed at the hotel from the movie The Shining. There is a lot of history involved but it seems to be downplayed when compared to the movie. The rates are high and really don't get much more for it. For the price of a...

When we arrived, the weather had gone from 70F the week before to between 1F-18F (except for the last day that was 57F) We arrived during a heavy snowstorm that ended up being 9 inches on the ground! Was breath taking! The Stanley Hotel is an Amazingly beautiful place! Yes, it is an old building, but that is part of...

Stayed in Estes Park in many different lodgings for 40 years - never at the Stanley. This experience was absolutely wonderful. From Chris Pascual on the staff, to the room, coffee shop, historical pictures and view. This is a place that is a must stay!!!!

We were so looking forward to our stay here, but it ended up to be very disappointing. First, we were checked into a room where the heat did not work. Hotel engineer brought us up a space heater to use. We asked for a different room that had working heat (it was 29 degrees outside). They said they would move...

We just visited the hotel to go to the paranormal Illusionist show one evening. The show was entertaining to say the least. It is so Beautiful and has lots of charm. We checked out room 217 from the outside and walked around the floors (You aren't really supposed to do this) here were plenty of people looking for creeepy ghost...
