We stayed in the junior suite on the 2nd floor for one night at the Stanley. The room was not as spacious as I would have imagined, but it worked for us. The room was very clean and nicely decorated. The grounds of the hotel are stunning and the views are amazing. I read to book the tours early online...

This is a nice historic property in the heart of Estes Park. Nice, comfortable, modern rooms. Very tasty complimentary breakfast and very accommodating staff and service. I would come back and recommend it. The Whiskey Bar was fantastic. Inventive cocktails, delicious food and the bar staff (Charlie and Jimmy) were fantastic.

We stayed one night at the Stanley Hotel. This is a beautiful hotel. Our room was nice and they have water bottles in the room with the Stanley labe which is a nice touch. Bathroom was a nice size. Our problem was the bed, it was hard and lumpy not comfortable to try to sleep on! We did report this...

My wife and I stayed at The Stanley Friday night during our visit to Estes Park. The hotel is beautiful as was the city. We arrived around 1:00 and even though check in wasn't for a couple of hours, they let us go ahead and check in so we could change clothes and head up into the Rocky Mountain National...

I came to Denver to visit with my brother and sister-in-law and wanted to go to the mountains. Estes Park was our choice to stay in. I recently took a day trip up to the Stanley Hotel just to take a look around. Unfortunately I didn't have the opportunity to stay overnight, but I have to say this is a gorgeous hotel. The history behind it is a fun thing to explore and the grounds are so well maintained. The inside has some wear and tear,...

Overpriced! My wife and I love to stay in historic hotels. We reserved a historic queen which was nice but incredibly small. Whiskey bar was very expensive as was the room. Were we glad we stayed? "yes", but I wouldn't do it again, you can get a much better room for less.

I will admit that this was on my bucket list because of its haunted reputation and it's connection to Stephen King's The Shining. I did enjoy that aspect of it, including the ghost tour that I took (although it was more of a ghost hunt), and the fact that the Jack Nicholson movie played 24/7 on one of the TV...

The Stanley - built by the inventor of the Stanley Steamer - is a marvelous hotel restored to its Edwardian Grandeur. Some scenes from "The Shining" (TV version) were shot here, and Stephen King was a long-term resident here while writing his novels. The hotel is world-renowned, has hosted the rich & famous, and is everything the most demanding guest...
