What a gem! The Maxwell Inn is perfectly set right at the west end of Estes Park - a brief 10 minute walk into the heart of downtown along the river. The accommodations are warm and inviting with every amenity one would need to enjoy a stay - microwave, refrigerator, coffee

754jsl - Usually I ask folks to call us when they're ready to come back, but you already did! Thank you for the kind words. It's wonderful to hear that our place met your needs and was a relaxing spot for your time in Estes Park. Every decision we make, every change, every upgrade, is with the mindset of our guests as the first priority. Hopefully that was evident in the room layout, materials, amenities, and guest service. We're certainly not a luxury place, but the niche we've found is one of simple quality, with comfort that rivals a welcoming home bedroom. Thank you again, and we look forward to seeing you this year!

The staff was friendly and inviting, answered our questions and advised us on navigating the area. We believed room size met our needs perfectly. It was cozy and inviting. We hope to return in the very near future. Parking was perfect.

Companion - Thanks for staying with us and for taking the time to write a review. If you're used to corporate chain hotels, our place is going to be pretty different. Certainly more character, and some things that harken back to the time it was built - ie vanities in the rooms, comfortable but not large room size, and doors that open to the outside, motel style. Thanks for staying, it's great to hear that you enjoyed your time in Estes Park. Give us a call when you're ready to return!

The Inn is located just past the busy tourist area, and just a short drive away from the National Park entrance. There is a pizza place straight across the street, and plenty of places to eat breakfast lunch and dinner by walking into town. Their property is very clean and

BirdDogPatsy - It's wonderful to hear that you enjoyed your stay! The motel was built in the early 1970s, and we can say unequivocally that our improvements have certainly been the largest change the property has seen. It was really a blank canvas when we bought it six years ago. If a guest is looking for new, we do have four new annex rooms (listed as Deluxe Double Queen or Deluxe Single Queen on our website). We're happy you found the view pleasant. Being as how we're not perched on a mountainside, we don't advertise views because it's very subjective. We think it's great! Our summer rates are in line with the rest of Estes, but we believe the quality of rooms is a great value, and hope you did as well. Thank you again for the in-depth review and for staying with us this fall.

We stayed the first weekend in Nov. Our room was on the first floor. It was quiet and very comfortable. We appreciated having 2 chairs in the room. The beds were a little harder than what we are used to but we managed. We enjoyed staying here and would return.

Gwenlend - thanks for staying with us this fall, and for the kind words. Beds can be difficult, folks are used to many different things. We went with a middle of the road bed feel, known as "plush." We're glad it wasn't too tough! Because the rooms aren't particularly big, we really spent a lot of time trying to find chairs that fit and didn't take up much space and the feedback has been great. Thank you again for staying, and we do hope you can return to Estes and stay with us when you do.

We spent 3 nights at the Maxwell Inn recently for a family wedding in the area. What a lovely place. The rooms are well appointed with hand made furniture and although not large, they had everything we wanted. It was quiet and comfortable. The lip balm in the room was

Yes, they have a wonderful community firepit... very well done, plus great location to walk along stream to town, and some good mountain views... not sure about private deck or private hot tub, but they also have a community hot tub by the firepit... call them and ask your specific questions... privately run by very gracious hosts... hope this helps! (we had the firepit and hot tub to ourselves each night we were there last fall)
