Loved the constant sound of rushing water, the beautiful surroundings and peaceful environment. It was great being so close to RMNP! The cabin was spotless and the management showed great hospitality. Can't wait to go back!

I had a great time at Idlewilde by the River. The location was great because it was not right in the middle of downtown but it wasn't too far out. The management was great and very friendly. My favorite thing was waking up in the morning and having my morning coffee by the river.

4 Families: 1 from the state of Washington, 1 from Wisconsin, 1 from Minnesota, 1 from Illinois all met at Idlewilde for a 5 night stay. Our cabins were perfect for each family and were located close to the river so that we all enjoyed the sound of rushing water tumbling over the rocks. The cabins were all well appointed...

For at least twenty years we've spent a week or two at Idlewilde. In fact, we never leave until we're booked for next year. Majority of cabins right on the Big Thompson river. Small showers but cabins are old (although updated) and it would be a major re-do to enlarge them. Clean. Friendly managers. Close to RMNP. Family friendly

We stayed in Shemira (cabin 11) and also Olaha (cabin 6)... both are two bedroom cabins with a cute little dining booth, a mini kitchen with everything and more than a motor home...and a lovely living room with a large brown leather sofa... and TV that you probably would never turn on while you are there. The grounds are right...
