Surprisingly comfortable. Very dated, but priced reasonably. Great beds. Good place to stop on your way up the west coast. There's a nice beach very near the motel - within walking distance. Lots of places to eat in town.

Great room, great price. 2 rooms, 3 beds. Great location right off the highway, would stay again. Very helpful at checkin with things to do, light house red wood trails. No cards to get in the rooms they use old school keys. Clean, quiet and comfortable.

We loved this motel. It was built in the heyday of motel travel in the 1950s and has been lovingly maintained ever since. It still has most of its original features, including many of the bathroom fittings. We were also amused to discover that not only were the chairs angled for the best view of the television, but the table... More

We felt as if we traveled back in time to the 1950's. It was an intetesting experience to sit in chairs like we had when we were kids! Furniture was mid-century modern, but sadly our bed was, too. Mattress was thin and tired and sheet did not stay on it. Room was bare bones - no fridge or coffee maker... More

Set your expectations. The sales site says this is a 50s motel built out of one redwood located 2 blocks from the ocean. So don't be put off by the fact that this is a wood finished motel that oozes 1960. There is road noise because it is a MOTEL on 101. The seafood smell is an OCEAN, you can... More

Over night stay after long day on the road with too much construction!! Place was clean & well maintained - after a great meal across the street and a fun LONG walk along the marina we returned to our room to find a huge family had moved upstairs ! AND they were square dancers & proceeded to make our stay... More

This place was recommended by a coworker (apparently on a tight budget). The rooms are spacious and clean BUT queen bed (when there's plenty of room for king) and hard. The sitting area is out of the 60's and not at all comfortable. The small TV sits on the built in dresser at the side of the room and difficult... More

Large clean retro rooms that do not have a place to set up a lap top. Very friendly helpful staff. Easy walk across the street to a reasonably priced seafood restaurant. Covered parking in front of your room for your vehicle.

I got this room at the last minute. I think I got the last room, all other hotels in town were full. So let's get this out front right away...this is not a chain motel. This is not $120 plus a night. This is a Saturday nite and I paid $82 plus tax. Ground floor, very large, 2 queens, clean... More

We stopped at Curly Redwood Lodge on our way to Sonoma. it is a quaint motel style the claims to be constructed from a single Redwood Tree, from back in the day when the Giants were logged. Given the age it it in good shape. Our main floor room was clean, roomy, comfortable. for the $ it was a good... More
