For $60 this place is a deal. Large rooms. Free wifi. Clean baths. Right on the freeway so easy to get to. No frills, no amenities in the room (no shampoo, blow dryer etc) furniture reminded me of traveling in the 60s, but it was all well maintained. Helpful staff.

If you are looking for the latest in modern conveniences -- flat screen TV, refrigerator, microwave and coffee in your room, etc. you will not find them here. But ... the rooms are very spacious and clean, the property is well maintained, the staff is friendly and responsive to requests, for the first floor rooms your parking space is right...

Curly Redwood Lodge is not for everyone, BUT if you are into retro, this place is the holy grail! It is not modern, it's not slick and trendy - there is no room service and no spa. That being said, Curly Redwood Lodge is the real deal retro, and what makes it so cool is that it has been meticulously...

Nothing fancy, but super clean and spacious. Beautiful redwood throughout the room and exterior. Close to everything and surprisingly quiet. Best bargain on the coast. We were able to stay 2 nights for the price of 1 night elsewhere. Don't expect the Ritz. Just a clean, spacious room at a fair price.

This was our last stop on our Spring Break road trip. We hadn't booked ahead because we weren't sure how far we would get on our way home. My brother in law picked this out off some reviews. This hotel is like a step back in time. There are not modern amenities at this hotel. But don't let that scare...

For the price (5 people, less than $100) i don't know if you can find a better deal. The place has a good feel about it and the wood work is fantastic. All of the wood work at this hotel was constructed from one redwood tree - the wood is beautiful. Curly's is clean and the beds are ok -...

Great independent traveler's motel, built out of one giant redwood. When checking in, ask out it and they'll show you pictures of how the redwood had to be cut up into parts for transport. Each room is very large, which is a delight from the cramped chain-motel rooms. The rooms are angled in such a way that it gives a...

This place may not have modern amenities but it has charm. The rooms are clean, staff is super friendly and a joy to work with. The rooms are made from the wood from the forest. Just across from the harbor. Restaurant is in walking distance. We enjoyed our visit. I think you will too. Most important your dollars support a...

Adorable 1950s travel lodge built from 1 curly Redwood tree. The rooms are big, clean and have wifi. Close to restaurants and the water and right off 101. Ask the owner for info on food and she'll hand you a whole binder of menus.

This hotel was built entirely with the wood from a single redwood tree. It was probably built in the fifties (or maybe earlier) and really fits the typical "Motel" layout of that time. If you like quirky, quaint places this is kind of fun for one night - but don't expect "modern" type lodgings. The rooms are small, the bathrooms...
