Aloha - I've now stayed at the Dragonfly Ranch two times. Both times with children in the Honeymoon Suite. I am absolutely in love with Barbara (the Owner - she's wonderful), the location (close to the City of Refuge, Two Step - best snorkeling, and access to morning swim with wild spinner dolphins), the quality of the organic food they...

We had such a special time at the Dragonfly and feel privileged to have met Barbara and the guys. I cannot begin to explain how if feels to fall asleep listening to the lulling sound of the tree frogs and share your breakfast with a gecko. Breakfast was simply beautiful we have never tasted such fresh fruits and tried different...

We love to hear that we create an environment that makes people happy!

We were quite surprised upon entering the Dragonfly. The photos on the website showed a charming house in the trees. In reality it is a poorly built, ramshackle, dusty, added onto building. The property is inhabited by many people who pay the owner so that they can live and work there. They sleep in a shed, an old trailer, and...

Sounds like Gail did not have the pleasure of meeting the volunteers that come from around the world (Madagascar, France, Germany, Netherlands, etc) creating a community of joyous people who take pride in making the Dragonfly beautiful, clean and fun. One of the things on our "list" of things to do has been to repair our brown-paper-bag (not vinyl) flooring....

My wife and I stayed on the Kona side of Hawaii for a week here. This is amazing place. It's very quiet and relaxing. Barbara and company were very welcoming and friendly. Our room was quite large, and we always had a nice tropical breeze; the room was very open (no glass in windows, no locks on doors etc.) It...

Sweet! We always love it when people stay for a week and get the full feel of being in the "real" Hawaii. Mahalo, Edward!

Before my girlfriend and I went there we were a little worried that the place would seem old and dated. To our pleasant surprise it was fresh and vibrant. Barbara and her staff ran a place that blended there youthful attitudes perfectly while keeping the old school tropical zen paradise feel. The food was the freshest and healthiest eating we did...

My hat is off to Christopher and his girlfriend for appreciating our efforts to create a tropical zen paradise. Heart warming to read that they overcame their fear created by some of the critical reviews!

My trip to Hawai'i was intending to be a healing one and it started in the best place - Dragonfly Ranch. The staff are lovely, the setting is tranquil and the room I had (Dragonfly room) was beautiful. I had my own bath (with complimentary bath salts etc) and the bed was comfy. They have their own vege gardens, serve...

This dear lady only stayed one day--and took the time to write a beautiful review. I'm so glad that short stay was so meaningful!

I cannot understand how anyone would rate this place outstanding. We have been on the island for 2 weeks and all accommodations have been outstanding with this experience. There was no checkin, cobwebs in bathtub and room.some furniture was broken. Breakfast was good, only saving grace for the Dragonfly.

I apologize to this couple that came during a period when I was training new staff. Also I was unfortunately out of town upon their arrival. I was grateful that they mentioned that our wicker chair was broken. We immediately replaced it with a lavender rocker that works better in that room. Of course I shared this information with my...

This was my second stay at the Dragonfly. I love it there. From the outdoor shower to the leisurely breakfasts with Barbara, Will, and all the others, and the sweet furry friends! It's such a place of refuge from the crazy world. I can't wait to return.

The Dragonfly ranch is an eclectic arrangement of private rooms in a tree-and-flower-filled setting complete with birds and singing frogs. Barbara and company are super friendly and accommodating. We were in Hawaii for 18 days and this is the best place we stayed without a doubt! A peaceful calm get away in a healthy atmosphere. Where other B&Bs served store...

We just spent four days at this wonderful piece of heaven. Barbara is the owner and extremely helpful and supportive. She manages this resort and the big garden with a lovely crew.
