We got into town and wanted a place to stay before we continued our trip. The ratings and photos influenced our decision to stay. The people were great at check-in and the next morning the breakfast person was friendly. The location can be a bit of challenge to get to due to the location right off the high-way and once we were in the room, didn't hear interstate traffic noise.
That said, the location appears a bit run down and is close to downtown as evidenced by some of the trash I noted in the parking lot (empty mini liquor bottle and insulin syringe). The next morning the staff was outside cleaning so they do make an effort. The rooms are clean and satisfactory in terms of comfort. However, if you're planning to stay and have mobility issues ensure you're able to book a first floor room, there are stairs but no elevator to second level rooms.

The good: The bed was comfy. The room seemed clean. It’s located right off the highway, which is convenient for road trips. It was quiet in the room, despite being very close to the highway. The air conditioning worked well.

The bad: The hallways were not clean. The back door was propped open with a rock at 10:15 pm and 9:30 a.m., which seems like a safety issue. The floors are weirdly loud. Walking to the bathroom from the bed made a lot of noise. Because of COVID they are doing a grab and go breakfast, which looked terrible. We went out for breakfast instead. Also, I paid for the room then also had to leave a $150 deposit which will be refunded in 3-10 days. When I questioned the deposit, they told me every hotel in the area requires that. But I stayed at a different hotel in Albuquerque eight days ago and was not required to leave a deposit. Also the chair in our room was torn.

Other: I reserved a room with two queen beds. They upgraded us to a suite, which was nice, but it only had one bed. We did not plan to share a bed.

My uncle had to travel for work and because his 90 year old father lives with him, he wanted to quarantine before returning home, just as precaution. We made the reservation via Priceline and prepaid for his room at the Quality Inn. Upon arrival my uncle was notified that they do not accept locals/Albuquerque residents. When asked why they did not disclose the information and simply told my uncle to call Priceline for a refund.

We reached out to Priceline who tried to call the hotel, but they couldn't reach anyone. After a few hours, I called the hotel and spoke to Erin, who apologized for the inconvenience my uncle experienced. She then offered to call Priceline herself to confirm the cancellation and refund so that I wouldn't have to continue to go back and forth. She then asked for my direct contact so that she could call me back once everything was settled. I provided her with all my information and waited patiently for her call. Lo and behold, Erin called me back within 30 minutes to let me know everything had been resolved.

As a hotelier myself, I understand things happen beyond our control. I can't say that I'm happy with how this all started and the lack of service upon my uncle's arrival. But I can say that it's all in how you take care of your guests. And Erin definitely took care of us. It wasn't the refund that impressed me, it was her sympathy for the situation (without knowing why my uncle needed to stay there) and offer to help. And because of her, I've not excluded returning one day.

Thank you Erin.

This hotel failed to live up to even the minimal standards of any quality inn, anywhere. The four young people down the hall, all high on drugs or alcohol, kept me up all night yelling at the top of their lungs as they argued with each other. They were openly selling drugs out of the hotel room and parking lot without regard for hotel staff or customers observing them literally breaking the law. The hotel is located in a very seedy part of town, residences and businesses around this hotel all had installed security bars around there parking lots and windows. Homeless people were observed standing around fires for warmth in 55 gallon drums and the hotel staff told us not to leave anything in the Truck. We were initially given rooms on the second floor, which was fine until we were told they had no elevator and we would have to carry everything up two flights of stairs. Our truck was loaded with hunting equipment and firearms, large ice chests all of which we had to unload. Another issue was the remodeling that was going on. They had removed the floor covering in most of the first floor areas, leaving nasty looking glue remnants on the floor that guests had to traverse in order to get to their room. This whole place was simply unacceptable and I will never, never, ever, stay here again.

I apologize if you felt all of these problems were happening here. I have never seen any 5 gallon drums on fire with people standing around them. All of our websites indicate we do not have an elevator. We also let all website know about the remodel.

We booked this room via Priceline. Arrive later in the evening after a long days drive. The lobby was beautiful and very inviting. We got to the room and the door glass entry to our section was shattered. The hallways were dirty and the driveways or full of cigarette butts. I don’t mind if a place is older and not as modern as the newer facilities,But this place was just neglected. Scuffs mirrors dirt splashes on the walls in the hall. The icing on the cake was when water started leaking from the ceiling down into our bathroom we were on the first floor and the second floor occupants were using the shower and the water leaked down into our bathroom. When I looked at the ceiling it was obvious that this had been going on for sometime and they had tried to affect a couple of repairs. My concern is mold and black mold. I contacted the management about the bathroom situation and they said they didn’t have any maintenance people on hand to deal with the situation. They said they would’ve comped our room but they were not allowed to because we booked through Priceline. I called Priceline and after a long wait and the phone wheel and a operator who is almost impossible to understand, they said they would review the situation and get back to us within five business days. Easily the worst experience we’ve had in and many years of travel. And I want to reiterate that we don’t mind staying in older places as long as they’re kept up and show some care

The front desk people were courteous and the lobby looked nice enough. The room had been slightly renovated but it was not done very well and the furniture was dated and did not match the chipped laminate flooring. My wife was getting ready and doing business on her phone and I was doing some work when the housekeeper first came by at 10:45am. We told her through the door we were still there. Shortly after I sent my email I started packing up. The housekeeper came by again 5 minutes later and knocked again. Again, we told her we were almost ready. Two minutes late she knocked again. At 11:01 a gentleman knocked on the door shouting check out was at 11. We walked out literally the next minute and both of the housekeeping staff were standing at the end of the hall staring at us while the gentleman had a smirk on his face. I've never felt like this before. It's as if his statement implied we were doing something criminal in their hotel room. My wife felt even worse than I did and did so for hours after we left. Were we late, yes. Did we deserve to be treated like that over two minutes, absolutely not. This hotel is also a block south of what looked like the ghetto. So if you're looking for a good deal on a hotel with so so rooms and the possibility of being treated like a criminal for being two minutes late to check out, this is the place for you. We will never return to this hotel.

First of all, I am not usually picky about where I stay. On this trip I am in a brand new car and I worry about whether it will make it through the night because there is no security on the premises and this place is in the midst of the homeless area. It's also right on an exit ramp of the interstate and it us noisy. There's a sign on the front door saying people from Albuquerque and the surrounding towns are not allowed to stay here! So why should I feel comfortable about me staying here?

So I get to the room and the couch is covered with dog hair. I understand the place is pet friendly, but I would expect they would at least vacume the couch. The sink had long black hair in it as well as a short hair or two. It looks like the bed got made and that was it. I asked at the office for a sheet to cover the couch. Lastly, the mattress is one of those foam things and it is badly worn. There is a great big depression on one side that makes me wonder how it got so big.

Sorry choicehotels, but I think this place flunks horribly.

Property is clean and maintained well enough. Walls are thin and room doors are not set properly so you not only hear hallway conversations but also doors slam every time a guest enters or leaves a room. Thankfully everyone on our floor went to sleep at a decent hour.

Very good breakfast but ran out of sausage Patties 20 minutes early.

Shower had good pressure, lame drainage, and water temp that was barely warm enough. Toilet keeps running. Call to front desk went to voicemail and I never got a call back.

Stayed here 2 years ago for a night. Not too bad. This time it was a mess. Stayed in Room 249. It was dirty, deferred maintenance everywhere, furniture from the 70’s, clogged toilet, hallway carpet looked like it had never been cleaned, breakfast was barely fair and they were price gouging due to the Balloon Fiesta, almost triple normal room rate (my bad luck to be traveling through then). My best advice is to AVOID this hotel.

Pretty good stay. Not the best area of town but did feel safe here. Convenient to I-40. Rooms were clean and fairly quiet. Sunday morning breakfast offerings a little scarce as they were busy with many families. Eating area pretty small but otherwise decent. I’d return if on another road trip through Albuquerque.
