What a surprise! This beautifully restored 1926 hospital to hotel conversion is stunning, and the renovation designer should win an award for taste. From thick towels and excellent block soap, the rooms are handsomely decorated, and their old fashioned windows open 6” up to let in the fresh air. You’ll love the gardens, terraces and rooftop bar, and their breakfast in a bag (due to Covid19). Well worth every penny!

We stayed here for a week over New Year 2019/2020. Check in was effortless by Shiela on the front desk. She even compliamented me on my IHG credit card as she used to work for IHG. Our stay just got better and better from then on.

We got to meet Matt in the Apocathary restaurant who served us with the bbq ribs and made us special sangria which was not on thier drinks list.

I want to give the highest praise to Hunter, Anthony and Cassandra on the front desk each one has a unique knowledge of Albuquerque and the surrounding area. I felt each one of these guys could be conciergies or at least pursue a career in this field due to thier knowledge of the hotel.

The hotel provides a free shuttle service within 3 miles, we used this service a few times over the course of our stay.

The hotel is spotlessly clean along with the rooms. Each day they refreshed our towels and shower condiments.

The hot tub in the garden is still a unique touch and now they have a pet ambassador called Mollie the dog. Thus goes without saying the hotel is pet friendly.

As a hotel and restaurant manager I haved stayed in many different hotels through work and Hotel Parq Central has still not lost any of the qualities about it from when I have stayed in Albuquerque before.

Thanks for a wonderful stay!

I have stayed here several times as the half way mark from Dallas to California, each time has been a pleasure! They are always extremely accommodating and thoughtful, including providing treats for my dogs upon check in :). It is close to the highway so very convenient, the rooms are PERFECT, and the grounds are beautiful and back up to a lovely park. I would HIGHLY recommend staying here! The only thing I would ask for them to change is to put coffee makers in the room!

When we tried to check in our room was not ready and the desk did not know when they would be ready. First day there was no housekeeping and we were told to explicitly request housekeeping at the front desk because they were short of staff. On the second day we requested housekeeping and we were told that no 'overnight' guests were getting housekeeping - we were staying 3 nights. We got no housekeeping at all and had to request clean towels and trash removal. Their current website listed Daily Housekeeping as a guest amenity. Also we requested a suite and got a 'living room' so small it was almost not usable. We will never stay here again. A hotel without any housekeeping is just a rooming house.

I stayed 2 nights. The first night was great; the second was not. The place is absolutely gorgeous, impeccably designed and decorated, and immaculate. It was once a hospital, almost 100 years ago, and the decor is themed like this (not in a creepy way). Some employees are friendly; others less so, and most aren't particularly intentional about being helpful, the way hospitality employees should be. They're fine. My air conditioning went out on night two. The front desk clerk said he'd reset my AC from there. He didn't. I called again. Then he did. It is morning when I'm typing this, and my room is maybe just now cooling off. It was a long, hot night. Now that I'm on the internet, I've noticed that sites involving guns, ammunition, building the wall, and the right to life are blocked while using their wi-fi. Porn, too - i checked only out of curiosity. I imagine the Parq staff will read this and say, "Good riddance; we don't need his kind staying here." Well the joke's on you. I plan on staying again - the place is remarkably beautiful and in a great location, and I only need to exercise my internet freedom very rarely, and I can use a hotspot. Breakfast was weak, and the exercise room is weak, but you don't stay at the HPC for their breakfast. If you want a charming place near downtown, this is for you. If you require hospitable staff, great food, and like to surf adult or conservative websites, this is not for you.

Dear Colonel-F, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We are delighted to know that you found the building to be gorgeous and immaculate. We will definitely share with our team that some of us were not as friendly and helpful as we could have been and recognize the opportunity to improve. I just sent a request to our IT company to address the firewall issues you encountered. We upgraded the firewall a few months ago and did not realize it was so restrictive. We hope this is fixed by your next visit. We are again very appreciative of your feedback and the opportunity to make changes to hopefully earn 5 stars on your next visit! All the best, Noelle

Booked the most spacious suite for our first family hotel stay in over a year.
Upon arrival, we were told our room was not available. The explanation suggested the room was in need of service, or repair, and should not have been listed on their website. This was extremely frustrating!
As a consolation, we were offered a smaller room and two nine dollar drink coupons at the hotel bar.
Joshua at the front desk seemed overwhelmed. He appeared to be alone on a busy Saturday at check in time.

Had I been able to find comparable accommodations, we would have left.

This is completely unacceptable. My wife and I had planned to have the privacy offered by the suite we reserved.

The grab and go breakfast consisted of a doggy bag with prepackaged junk food and an apple.

I did not catch the morning front desk clerks name. But, she should either be completely retrained or let go. She has a horrible attitude. Very condescending mannerism when asked for cream and sugar for our underwhelming coffee.
At check out she barely managed to greet us, seemed annoyed that we were even bothering to return the room key and get a receipt.

This hotel could be a wonderful place to stay. It's been beautifully renovated, and has an interesting history.

I would not recommend anyone select this hotel unless they enjoy being treated poorly by the staff and neglected by management.

It feels like there is a high turn over rate for employees, as they seem to be untrained in the art of hospitality.

Take the negative reviews concerning management seriously, unlike myself.

This is a fantastic, smaller hotel that is located in an old sanatorium/hospital….it is themed quite nicely around that theme. We have spent two night in one of their king suites and our stay has been perfect. The hotel is clean and they are doing a great job with their Covid protocols. Our suite consisted of a bedroom and sitting room separated by our bath (which, by the way, is great with a fabulous walk in shower). We are here during the International Balloon Fiesta and our room faced northeast so we have been able to see the balloons ascending each morning…a beautiful sight. In addition to a beautiful room/suite, the hotel has very nice common areas and a beautiful garden where you can enjoy coffee or drinks during the day. Breakfast is included, and they have a very nice selection of items….and, oh yes, coffee and water is available 24/7. The rooftop lounge is available and provides a great view of the city for both sunrises and sunsets. Finally, we were unfamiliar with Albuquerque so we were not sure about the location; however, after a couple of days and becoming familiar with the city’s layout and roads, we have realized that we lucked into a great location for they things we wanted to do. Great place, that we highly recommend. 👍💕👍💕

No hotel for $289/night in 2020 in Albuquerque should not have a coffee maker in the room. This is just nuts. The room was very clean and this is very good. Highway noise is significant. Very pet friendly and a nice park close by.

We revisited the Hotel Parq Central this weekend and I am happy to say that nothing has changed! After several years since our 1st stay, this lovely hotel is still beautifully maintained, managed and accommodating. The rooms are decorated in comfortable yet chic style with a imaginative nod to the building's interesting past as a hospital. This in NOT a cookie cutter hotel and everything about it from the pleasant and helpful front desk staff to the cozy robes tells of the unique experience and the pride of local ownership!

The hotel is also very convenient to some of the best restaurants in Albuquerque and events in the downtown or Nob Hill area. A lovely gem in the heart of New Mexico!

I'm giving the hotel 5 stars even though most of their services were closed due to the mandatory stay at home orders. The health & security of the guests, employees & community were obviously the upmost importance to the hotel management. The room was lovely. We booked a king suite with a courtyard view on the 2nd floor. Only the 1st and 2nd level of the hotel were open. We traveled with our two dogs who were welcomed with treats & toys. There is a dog relief area on property, & right next door is a lovely park. It's ideal if you are traveling with dogs. The front desk provided us with breakfast bags (24 hour coffee service) that included a muffin, granola bar & apple. I can't eat gluten which meant the muffin and granola bar were off limits to me, immediately I was provided a hard boiled egg, yogurt & a fresh sliced fruit cup. Yancy (Manager) shared with us the plan to house first responders in the community. There are lots of details to consider, I hope whatever they have in mind comes to fruition soon. They were doing the very best they could under the situation, I'm grateful they stayed open when other hotels are closing down. A big thank you Hotel Parq Central! One recommendation; I called the day before my arrival to confirm the hotel was open and the person I spoke to gave me the run down on how services have changed due to the virus. It would be nice if you had it listed on your website as well, knowing that you may need to update it ever day as things shift.
