It's been a while, yet I also wanted to join the chorus of praise (mostly) that has reaffirmed the value of CC'sa. Arnold has made this place a labor of love for many years, and unlike many places, doesn't require a two-night minimum. This institution is a vanishing resource, to be enjoyed while one can.

Staying at Casita Chamisa is worth the trip by itself. The home is beautiful and comfortable, located in what I find the most beautiful part of Albuquerque. The house is appointed with interesting local art and artifacts (each comes with a good story, if you are interested), and the history of the property is fascinating. The owner, Arnold Sergeant, will...

As soon as I found Casita Chamisa, I knew I wanted this place to be my New Mexico experience. I immediately reserved a room and I'm so happy I did! Arnold and Sharla are amazing and I felt very comfortable staying there. This is the perfect place to stay if you are looking for an authentic and rewarding experience in...

Loved the nostalgic charm and relaxing feel of being in our casita. We stayed in the guest house and enjoyed our host's storytelling and historical knowledge. This casita has history! If you abhor glitzy hotels and want a "lived in" environment with charm, this is it.

A lovely surprise from the moment I walked through the blue door and was greeted by charming, hospitable and wonderful "teacher," Arnold who was feeding his hummingbirds. He proudly spoke of his late wife, her archeological site, history discovered when they were digging the earth to put in their pool (that was soothing to swim in late in the day);...

We stayed here a couple of nights while visiting Albuquerque. The owner, Arnold, is getting on a bit but is great fun. He has many stories to tell, particularly of the archaeology that his late wife did on the site many years ago. The house is in a very quiet, semi-rural location and, If you want something slightly unusual, peaceful...

I stayed at the Casita Chamisal for 9 days while visiting my aunt in Albuquerque. My cousin & I stayed in the little 2 room apartment. It was just so lovely : 2 rooms with very comfortable beds, little central living area along with an adorable little veranda we could read in, full of unusual types of plantes. I have...

We stayed here for two nights and loved our time here! The casita is like a living museum and Arnold is such a sweet, gracious host. We loved his interesting stories, especially the history of this home and excavation works on the property. It is situated in a very nice, quiet neighborhood community away from the hub.

We were greeted by the proprietor, Arnold, who immediately began to give us an in-depth tour of the historic and archaeologically significant property. Arnold is quite proud of the property and the work of his deceased wife, Kit. We stayed in the queen bed, Artists studio. It was spacious and well lit. We mentioned that we were celebrating our anniversary....

We arrived at this place and no one was on the premises. We rang and rang the doorbell, called their number, and even hollered but no one was around. We ended up having to find another place to stay. We were very inconvenienced and almost late for a scheduled event. Good luck having someone around. It was a disaster!!!!!
