Everything was fabulous! The room was simple but so special. The food, the setting, the cave right there and beautiful surroundings, it is just about the most perfect place on earth; a touch of heaven. It was truly spectacular and memorable, a dream come true.

My husband and I have stayed at several historic hotels through the years and are sad to say we were disappointed with the Chateau. First of all the fire sprinkler retrofit, which had to be done, was installed haphazardly. Little effort was made to conceal...More

We loved this lodge. We stayed at six historic lodges on this trip, and this was one of our favorites. It's very old, very wooden and creaky, and full of history and charm. If you are looking for fancy and modern this is not it....More

The lodge may be old and tired and in need of some TLC...but it was still a grand experience. The lobby is exactly what you would expect from bygone eras. Lots of big comfy couches and chairs, lots of dark wood and and good books...More

Might be a few. I recall steps getting into the lobby from outside; no ramp. A wonderful place but not too conducive to the disabled. Remember... its advertised as being rustic. Good luck.
