We booked for 1 night but stayed for 5. This camp had nice big kitchen with 2 living rooms, both with TV and DVD. The showers were brilliant. Free WiFi. To top it off the management were lovely, very helpful and friendly. When we were leaving we booked site for Easter holidays. Very very impressed

I've stayed there a few times over the last couple of years both in a tent and in one of their inexpensive cabins. The facilities are great and it's of the old style where the kitchen is well equipped with pots and pans and plates and knives and forks. Everything you need to prepare and meal, unlike the Top Ten...

Lovely campground, good sized sites for the caravan and an excellent kitchen/tv rooms. Could perhaps do with more toilets/showers but never had to wait for more than 5 minutes before one became free (and they were free - no extra payment for showers!). A short walk down to the Mason or Waiau river (great as the temperatures were in the...

Thank you to this campground for letting me book in afterhours as I was so tired from travelling. This is a small but beautiful campground that provided a comfortable place to rest my head for a few hours. So wish I could've stayed longer.

We stumbled across Waiau Motor Camp in the Hurunui by accident and ended up staying extra nights at our powered site. Best value campground on our 2 week South Island tour. Large fully equipped kitchen, two lounges, large field for campsites with hedges for privacy. Nice short walks nearby, 1 hour to Kaikoura and some historic roads/villages to explore. We...

A small, beautifully presented campground in a lovely community a few hours north of Christchurch. Very professional and courteous owners, clean and functional facilities in a riverside setting. Quiet, economical, refreshing. Highly recommended.

Had a great birthday at Hanmer Springs and because husband thinks it is not safe to drive home when tired from all the swimming, my family spent a night at this place. Very affordable. Bedrooms were neat and linens smell fresh and clean. Large communal kitchen was very homely. Bang on for your money. Just as everything was joyous, our...

Very clean rooms, free wifi, wonderful and neat facilities and all around great value! This place is run by a genuinely friendly couple (Brent & Kara). The communal kitchen was clean and the lounge area is family friendly with toys for the kids. This is "THE PLACE TO BE" if you want to be within close proximity to the adventure...

What a find! This motor camp provides everything you could wish for a traditional family holiday. Very cute bunkrooms, wonderfully equipped kitchen and living spaces. Super clean and recently re-carpeted throughout. Perfect for families as there is a great playground and also toys/games/books inside. Our kids (age 8, 6 and 7 months) had a ball and made many friends. The...
