This is not a resort by any standard. Rooms are average hotel rooms. one tv channel, local. Aircon not adjustable. 16C only. Solar power showers. No sun, or cloudy, no hot water. Food menu very basic. Maybe 6 a night to choose from. Not a lot of choice to go elsewhere either. Bar rarely has ice. limited choice as well.

I rated the property Very Good. I am referring to the while experience, not the building which is showing signs of wear but that's to be expected considering remote location. Had an unscheduled overnight recently and the staff were fantastic to organise our extremely short notice arrival. After a very long and trying day, the ice cold beer, friendly smiles...

At the reception we were well received on our arrival. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The Taralala Bar/ Leaf hut was an open hut that can accommodate up to 50 people. Although it was an open hut with walls up to waist height on most of the walls it was a quiet and comfortable. Lunch was provided with...

This was my 3rd time at the Gizo hotel since 2014. There has been a change of management and it is obviously getting its act together more and more; Geoff, the on the ground manager was easy to approach and ask for help and he was really keen to do whatever was possible and necessary to make our stay a...

Happiness is a matter of expectations... If you survived your flight to Gizo, then you should be happy to have a cold beer, some EXCELLENT PIZZA, and warm Hospitality at the Gizo Hotel. Just don't expect a perfectly clean bathroom and four star bedroom - It doesn't exist here. However, on my short stay the staff were very helpful and...

I only had one night at the Gizo Hotel but gosh it was great! I was greeted by friendly staff who had organised my room in advance, then when I requested a room away from the nightclub they got me to relax in the foyer until the room was ready. I think the best things about this hotel are the...

Very good location and great outdoor area - the pool was fantastic. The rooms were a bit of a letdown - the bathrooms look like they need a good bleach and scrub. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the restaurant had a great view and feel to it. Food was okay. Overall, not a bad place to stay but it...

The staff are all very nice but other than that (and the pizzas) I can't find anything positive to say. The rooms have hardly any natural light, which makes them a bit depressing. I had to clean the surfaces in my room before I wanted to put anything on them - they were dirty. The toilet needed a good scrub...

The room is reasonably clean, the staff is friendly and helpfull and the restaurant has great seafood. The pool was empty on arrival, and when they filled it up it didn't look inviting. I made a reservation by email, but when I arrived, nobody knew about the reservation. Fortunately there was an empty room. There was no warm/hot water, only...
