I took a long weekend away from work to experience some of the legendary beauty of the Solomon Islands and I wasn't disappointed. I fell in love with the giant clams with their bright purple, green, and yellow colors. It was so easy to jump off the pier for amazing snorkeling that my skin stayed shriveled the entire stay from...

Where to start? Great host, excellent food, friendly staff, amazing nature etc. We stayed in Sanbis for 13 days in November and had best time of our lives. My wife did diving just about every day and being diving at places like Maldives,Mexico and Fiji just to name few she was pleasantly surprised with quality and diversity of marine life...

Sambis is a great little resort, in lovely quiet unspoilt part of the world. It is owned and operated by Hans, an enigmatic and extroverted ex-Swiss sort of Australian gentleman who is 100% focused on his guests having a great time, and also spinning a few (!) yarns over a Solbrew (beer). (Hi Hans!). The resort is an embodiment of...

What a beautiful place. It is worth the effort to get here because once you are here it is a world away. You can do much or little. Snorkelling before a beautiful breakfast. Then more snorkelling, fishing, doing nothing. Fascinating history of the area. Hans is a great host. I can highly recommend Sanbis resort for a relaxing getaway.

Access to Sanbis is by boat from the island airport or anywhere else. There are six self contained wood huts with leaf roofs that are well spaced along the shore. They have solar powered lights and ceiling fan; if you need to charge phones, tablets etc that is done at the restaurant or over-water bar. WiFi is available if you...

My partner and i recently stayed at Sanbis ( 12th -18th October) We were fortunate to book "The Lodge " for our holiday, we found it to be excellent accommodation, in fact would be perfect for a family or a group. Paddle boarding, kayaking and snorkelling in such clear pristine water was fantastic, however the highlight of our holiday was the...

This was a great place for a mid winter diving break. August, and the water temperature was a consistent 26 - 27 degrees, and visibility was mostly around 30 metres or more. There is a lot of history, it was the area where JFK served in the war, and some interesting WWII wrecks to dive. The reef diving is fabulous,...

It was quite a journey to get here from New York, however, worth every second and every cent. It's the kind of place that makes you wish you can stop time, if only for a few weeks. The owner Hans and he's extremely capable staff are a joy to behold and the attention to detail something to admire. The resort...

We recently finished up a trip to Sanbis Resort where we stayed for 6 days in bungalows 1, 3 and 4. To sum up the entire experience in one word: Wow! And, all that with a very reasonable cost! Location: The location of Sanbis Resort is quite remote but still reasonably close to Australia to make the hop over well...

We were treated by Hans the owner in arrival and after a drink with Hans we were taken to our bungalow, the bathroom had plenty of hot water, clean and serviced daily. We had a verandah at the waters edge where we could read while enjoying a coffee. A missile net was over our bed with a fan and staff sprayed...
