centrally situated motel , but Franz Josef is very small, so everything is in walking distance! Pleasant room with s/catering facilities. Rooms on lower level have no view and the car parking spaces are very small ! On site manager very friendly and helpful with on site coin operated laundry. WI-Fi included.

Our room was very clean and comfortable. We had a king size bedroom. There was adequate cooking utensils, coffee and tea. Nice flat screen TV. Nice linens and comfortable bed. There was a washer and dryer available. The downside is that it is a motel, i.e. absolutely no charm. It is located between backpacker hotels. So we had people walking...

We had booked a queen room which looked nice on the internet however on arrival we were upgraded to a king. However unfortunately this room, whilst large, was badly in need of a renovation. Apart from the very tired bed covering and curtains the worst part was that there was no power point in the bathroom. The bathroom was totally...

The hotel is located at a beautiful location, rooms are clean, large and self contained. The services are also very good. The hotel staff is also very friendly. I recommend it to couples, friends or families. Very pleasant stay!!! The hotel rooms provide a beautiful view of the glacier top, which is just amazing!!!

Admittedly we booked the cheapest room, a studio. This was small and cramped with only a Queen bed, but nicely decorated and clean. Bedside lighting was not good for reading. We liked the wet room/WC/shower with room to splash around. However, there was no cooking facility, other than a microwave, yet a double drainer sink taking up half of one...

A bright spacious and clean room, up to date amenities in kitchen area, we had an amazing view of the mountains and surroundings on 3 sides of our corner room. Nice sofa to sit on and nice large bed. Decent internet for New Zealand which is usually consistently poor.

We were so fortunate to be able to stay at the Alpine Glacier motel in Franz Josef. It is central to everything on offer in the town - walks, hikes, planes, helicopters - you name it. It was a short walk to restaurants and shops. Really well located. Our room was enormous, with a king-size bed, sofa, kitchen area and...

Well maintained motel. Good space, including a kitchenette in the room. We called to tell them that we were arriving late, so they said they would leave the key in the door for us. So we walked up to our room at 11pm, and the key was literally in the door. Great location in town. Easy walking distance to everything....
