Booked into Dunstan House by Cycle Surgery before we started the Rail Trail. What a beautifully restored old hotel. Pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to the Honeymoon Suite on arrival. Wow, what a treat! Best accommodation and hospitality of the whole trip. Thanks!

What an honour to stay in such a wonderfully historic and peaceful place with true Kiwi hospitality. Lovely room with fresh flowers and biscuits waiting for us in room. Very resonable price for room, would stay again without question

Historic pioneer pub now a family- run b&b in the old gold mining town of Clyde. We stayed two nights, pootling up to St Bathans and down to Alexandra, in some of the most beautiful parts of NZ. Dunstan House is charming: small-ish bedrooms, as with colonial times, (but my daughter and I shared a double plus single-bed large room...

this was the beginning of the rail trail and what a fab little place, dunstan house is only the start of what you can expect in Clyde, the hotel is gorgeous, MAC sponsor a free bottle of beer so we sat on the veranda watching the world go by with a beer (incidentally a number of hotels also have the...

Thanks for your review of your stay with us at Dunstan House and we appreciate your comments and recommendation. It is always helpful to receive feedback and we have noted you had trouble with your shower. This is a new ensuite so we will continue to check if this is an issue for future guests. Cheers M

Like so many others, we stayed at the Dunstan House before departing on the Otago Rail Trail. In many ways, we wish we had ridden the other way just so we could finish up in such a lovely, old hotel. The place was been lovingly refurnished so that it has all the modern conveniences and yet has lost none of...

We stayed in the suite - a wonderful stop before 4 days on the Otago Central Rail Trail. Our excellent hosts, John and Maree, made sure our stay was hassle free - nothing was a trouble for them. Continental breakfast was great, and full of variety. Absolutely worth a visit

Booked through Trail Journeys we stayed here the night before embarking on the Otago rail trail. Upon arrival we were enthusiastically met by the owners and shown to our room. A good size bedroom with comfy bed. The en suite was in a separate room with copious amounts of space for my favourite pass time (cat swinging)!. The bed was...

Thanks for reviewing your stay with us at Dunstan House and I enjoyed and appreciated your feedback on one of our newer ensuited rooms. In response to your comment re shortage of hanging space, there were large clothes hooks on both doors in your room including one with cloths hangers. These are regularly used but maybe were overlooked in your...

We stayed at Dunstan House after completing the Rail Trail. Beware, do not judge this accommodation from the outside - get in there and enjoy the experience. Dunstand House, with its veranda, looks a throw back to colonial and goldrush days. The inside has bee restored very tastefully, in keeping with the period, and arrival into the foyer and staircase...

We had the pleasure of staying un Dunstan House prior to starting our cycling trip of the Roxburgh & Clutha trails. We stayed in the suite with a separate living room. The building has been very tastefully renovated and featured antique furnishings. The continental breakfast was lovely. We would love to stay there again.
