Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I inserted $2 for a shower and water immediately shot out the cubicle door so got drenched trying to switch off, b4 even undressing. Warning: check shower is turned to OFF and nozzle pointing down before inserting money. Instructions would have been helpful.

Yes this place is a little tired and spiritless, but we had a good time and would stay again. It has everything you need and was well-serviced, clean and tidy. The kitchen had lots of pots, pans, plates, cups, utensils etc if you’ve forgotten your own. The showers are clean and warm up right away, and $2 for 6 minutes is perfectly reasonable.

The sites are flat so perfect for our campervan and the dump station was clean and had everything you need. Some of these reviews on here are rough... This is near-back country New Zealand, people... you can’t expect a 5-Star Shangri La...

We had a good stay. Thanks again :)

What a beautiful little town Clyde is.

Sadly it is let down by the camping experience which is pretty drab to be honest. The holiday park needs a serious clean & spruce up! also could do with being a bit more welcoming. Very pricey for what you get & the cleanliness of the facilities. Recommend staying at Alexandra or Cromwell.

We had a night in a tent overlooking the Clutha River and another after we returned from the 3 day Central Otago Rail Trail cycle trip. Gary and Roslyn were excellent hosts and they run a high quality operation with the expected warmth and professionalism. I recommend the facilities and the Four Square grocery store around the corner. I had a few laughs with the boss there and with other guests.

Avoid this place - the most unfriendly and unhelpful camp hosts we have come across. Stopped in our campervan as we were travelling through the area.

There are not many camps in this area but dont make the mistake of stopping here - keep driving

All other camp sites in the south Island we stayed at were super helpful - If these owners do not like tourists maybe they should look for another occupation

Stayed here one night. The cabin I stayed in was spotless and nice smelling. Showers and toilets are tidy and plenty of them. New managers are very friendly and went out of their way to help me. Will definitely stay there again.

We stayed in a non powered tent site for 4 nights. The managers were great and really helpful - letting us pick our site. The even let us plus in to the power behind the toilets to charge our ebikes etc. No internet and lots of rules - they have had some bad reviews but we enjoyed our stay. Short walk to Clyde shops and cafes which were delightful. The area has great bike trails and a lovely lake for swimming.

This place is well situated being only about 10 minutes walk from the centre of Clyde and also the beginning of the Otago Rail Trail.
It is a camping ground which also doubles as the local sports facility with the rugby club sharing the toilet and bathroom facilities onsite.
It was pretty quiet when we were there but in the camping season on a day when a rugby game is on I could image this place and the facilities would get pretty busy and showers at a premium.
Never the less the cabin we had was nice as it was reletively new and the bunks were comfortable.
The park also has tent and caravan sites and all the other amenites you would expect in this kind of place.
No bad a NZ$40 a night double.

Used this camp to stay at in our caravan to complete the rail trail. The camp was clean, but the kitchen was not well equipped, and had endless posters with rules and regulations posted on the walls. The showers were $2 for 6 minutes and the water temp is regulated at 42 degrees. Although there was soap in the toilets there was neither paper towels or and blower dryer. The lady that booked us in, seemed pre-occupied, and not very interested in our custom. We will not be using this camp again as there are much better options in the area at the same price ($17 each per night for a powered or non-powered site per person).
