In January it was a fun holiday experience for a family that had returned to live in NZ. Simon gave the girls of 10 and 13 so much 'hands on' time with the friendly animals teaching them so much and letting them help shear the goats. They rated it tops and still talk about it. There were other places nearby...

I had a great time at Simons and Veronicas farm, I stayed there around a week. We sheared a few sheep, that was a real farm experience :) Also feeding the animals and milking the goat was cool. There is a lot to do around, like exploring some nice beaches, going snorkeling at goat island or going horseriding near warkworth....

What a fantastic place to enjoy a family holiday. A real farm experience with such cute and friendly farm animals and great hospitality from hosts, Simon & Veronica. Nothing was too much trouble. Our girls have not stopped talking about our wonderful time at A Kiwi Farmstay and nearby attractions. Highly recommend! Peter & Leanne Jan 2015

I spent three days on a kiwi farmstay end of January. It was a wonderful experience how to learn about the animals and the people living there. Me and my family enjoyed to feed, help, and organize the animals. We also appreciated to go to the hot beach, riding horses and at last having a tour on the motor bike....

We were 2 families from Australia who stayed 4 nights. Positives included lamb dinner cooked by Veronica, pig riding for the kids, baby chickens, goats and goat milking, seeing a young male cow eating roses, discovering glow worms, Simons helpfulness, friendly approach and good nature. We thoroughly enjoyed a lot of the recommendations of places to see and things to...

We were staying more than a week at "The Kiwi Farmstay" and we really enjoyed the time there because Simon and Veronica let us do whatever we want and gave us the feeling to be home. Its such a familiar atmosphere. Simon is a funny guy who is very open-minded and interested in the things we did, he always gave...

Coming from Sydney, our children do not see many animals. So when we turned into the driveway at Akiwi Farmstay they were super excited to see all the different ones there to greet them! Simon had great knowledge of the animals and was good at encouraging the girls to feed/pat and hold them correctly. A highlight for our five year...

Simon & Veronica are the perfect hosts, and the extended family including the dogs, sheep, goats, pig, calf, little chick and her chicks, geese, and the wee possum are all very welcoming and create a memory of a lifetime, with a kiwi twist...(feeding the animals was a great experience for this city gal too) We had a family BBQ on...

Enjoyed the stay on the farm in the peaceful surrounds. Kids really enjoyed the interactive experience of feeding the animals. Had fun going to the Warkworth Rodeo and evening cricket game. Thanks to Veronica, Simon and all the family for making this a relaxing holiday experience. Would definitely book again.

Thanks to Simon, Veronica and rest of the team including the four-legged kind, we had the best farmstay experience ever. The kids loved it and we had a fantastic, relaxing experience ourselves. The house is comfortable. The experience is very interactive and immersional. The hosts are very enthusiastic and helpful. I cannot recommend it highly enough. We wanted to re-book...
