We spent some time at Tawharanui only 17 km away and after tramping for several hour, this B&B was the perfect place to overnight and then continue our journey.

On arrival we were greeted by Alan, rooms are cosy, spotless and comfortable. Delicious homemade and chocolates were in rooms with coffee plunger and assortment of teas was on offer and very relaxing view from the room in to a well cared garden. The whole property looks very nice and well cared for.

Breakfast again was delicious, fresh fruit salad, homemade jams and perfectly fresh poached eggs and good tasting coffee Alan and Linley are perfect host and made us feel very comfortable . We definitely would stay there again and i would recommend that property to anyone without any hesitation.
Thanks for looking after us Alan & Linley

We were up north for a wedding, found accommodation fit for a queen!! Linley and Alan welcome us with warm harts and a warm breakfast to die for!! Crispy bacon, perfectly cooked eggs, toast and all the trimmings that make a perfect English breakfast served at times we required. Beautiful spacious and clean rooms, bed was very comfortable. Fresh towels, tidy up and a refill of the amazing baking tray was done daily. Linley and Alan offered their beautiful house for the bride to get ready in and drove her stylishly in a vehicle some of us can only dream of. Massive big thank you to the best B&B up North we highly recommend you and will definitely return. Cheers L&C

Alan and Linley have created a very comfortable retreat. We had a room with a balcony overlooking their lovely garden and the native bush beyond. It was a great place to sit and listen to the local birds.
They provided lovely breakfasts and were wonderful hosts advising us about the local area and putting the world to rights!!
In fact we were spoilt because each evening we returned there were freshly baked treats ready for a cup of tea.
We enjoyed our stay immensely and would thoroughly recommend Warkworth Country House to anyone.

A very welcoming B&B, set in lovely gardens and about 5 minutes drive from the centre of Warkworth.

Our room was compact, with limited storage space, and had outside seating areas overlooking the gardens. It was ideal for our one-night stay.

The hosts are very friendly and helpful.

Stayed one night in the queen room on the way north. Arrived early, but Linley called and told us where to find the key to the room. Very peaceful spot with views over the garden and forest behind. Comfortable room, good shower, and some nice snacks to go with the tea and coffee. Alan was very keen to give us lots of information re the area, and their recommendation to eat in town at Aldo’s was spot on. Good breakfast before driving on.

Linley and Alan are great hosts. They were very accommodating about our arrival time and we had a lovely room with everything we needed. Comfortable large bed, spacious bathroom with plenty of hot water, and nice snacks on our arrival. Our breakfast was wonderful with plenty of choice and flexibility - thank you Linley. If you happen to be interested in sailing, Alan has a sailing history and is happy to talk about boats. All up, a lovely house run by two lovely people. We would be very happy to stay there again.

We stopped overnight on our way down south. We had our flight over the Bay of Islands delayed a day due to bad weather. Linley reassured us that it didn’t matter how late we got there it would be fine and to enjoy our trip. Alan and Linley are such kind welcoming hosts offering lots of little extras. The breakfast was the best we’ve had. Beautifully cooked. Thoroughly recommend stopping here.

We stayed only for one night in this beautiful B&B transiting south.
The (two) rooms are quiet, large and clean.
Delicious breakfast at the hosts' private dining table. Tips and nice conversations are available for free.
Host with passion. Great place to stay.

Just a one night stay for us but a very pleasant one. Alan and Linley were great hosts who run a comfortable and well equipped B&B. Alan was full of tips, must-dos and interesting background info. The cooked breakfast was yummy and generous. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
