I must say that we stayed during a busy part of the year so maybe during the quieter months it is better. We stayed on the pet side and for all the people they cram into that space, there were not enough toilets/showers. A few times in the middle of the night, the toilets were a disaster, leaking etc, no...

Stayed here for 1 night only and can't wait to return. Camped in a wonderful spot overlooking the water. The facilities are clean and plentiful and the staff are very welcoming. There is a small restaurant close by got great coffee there to take on our journey.

The cabins are very poor, small and ugly. Linens and towels not provided. Showers and pool are for payment. Limited internet included for 24h. Receptionists are kind and helpful. Beach is near by. I wouldn't come back!

The location and people staying there were wonderful ....BUT the HYGIENE of the toilets and showers let it down an awful lot ... the facilities were also too small for the quantity of people that were staying there and state of the showers were awful, did not feel at all clean using them !.

Great spot with comfortable camping conditions. There is a great variety of activities for all ages. We spent time at the campsite and travelling to either west and east coast beaches. It is a good gateway to other places and a destination itself.

We went camping over the New Year period and had a great time... we had a great spot under the trees and had a lot of space. We are quite self sufficient when camping so didn't use the kitchen at all. We did use the showers which were good value ($1 for 6 minutes is plenty of time to wash...

The Staff are always friendly, helpful and accommodating. I've stayed here on numerous occasions, both camping and in the cabins. The place is great for families. We swam in the pool, spa pool, and at the beach, which is less than 2 minutes walk away. Our favourite pass time is fishing and collecting shellfish. The boat ramp makes that easy...

Waegener Holiday Park is an awesome place to stay. Great facilities, great location, not far from Houhora township which has pub, takeaway shop, 4 square, bottle store. Weather is really great up here. We have stayed for 4 years at Xmas time so far and will be going back this Xmas. Love Love

A lot of people writing reviews on here like its a hotel room. People go camping to live basic for a week and enjoy the environment around them. We loved the area, kids had a blast and was safe for them to ride there bikes around and make new friends. facilities are basic, but had what was needed. Only complaint...

We love camping here and have been many times over the years. This year was our first as dog owners, so it was nice to be able to co-exist alongside other well behaved dogs and their families in the doggie section of the camp. It's nice that there are now showers and outdoor kitchen facilities in that part of the...
