We recently stayed here during a wedding. This place is great if you are planning to spend time with friends and want some privacy. There is an industrial kitchen, large entertaining area and plenty of bedrooms. Each bedroom has its own ensuite and are located in the same building. The living area with table and chairs, lounge suites are big...

A wonderful venue for a family gathering lasting 4 days. There were 17 of us ranging in age from 16 months to 70! The homestead has a beautiful view overlooking Portee Creek. The bedrooms were exquisite, comfortable and warm, each with an ensuite bathroom. The well equipped kitchen and dining area is separate from the sleeping area. The shearing shed...

Just had another fabulous weekend at Portee. Cannot recommend this Homestead enough. The pictures just don't do it justice. (Don't tell too many people though). This is our 2nd time with mostly the same people - but a couple of new one's, who were very impressed. The serenity and privacy is just what you need on a weekend getaway. We'll...

It's a little off the beaten track, quite literally, but not hard to find, and the journey is worth it. This gorgeous old homested has been extensively renovated into a number of self contained suited with en-suite, and each is classy and clean, with oodles of old world charm. The main house contains accommodation only--the lounge room and kitchen facilities...

Loved every minute, from the loud bird call on arrival @ dusk to watching the sun on the river from your bedroom, from the stunning house, to the chatty hostess. All the little extras such as the home made bread, banana cake & of course the bottle of wine. Just wished we were staying for a week. Perfect place to...

Usually run as a B&B, we hired all the rooms for the weekend, and filled it with 5 families (17 people). Adults and kids all had a wonderful time. Large rooms, spacious grounds, fun on the water (the creek was a tributary of the Murray River at the time), excellent dining/lounge area. Hosts were welcoming and really helpful, and gave...
