Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Stayed here (signing out tomorrow) and it suited us perfectly. Friendly staff, clean facilities, pool, proximity to local theme parks and attractions made it perfect and so convenient for a great weekend so what that it’s a little older, we had everything we needed. Stayed in a family room on the upper level. Aircon was great. Bed was comfortable and maid service arrived second night to give us fresh towels. What more could you want. We had dinner at the Boathouse up the road which was also great and then visited Paradise Country on Sunday for an unforgettable day feeding the koalas and seeing the animals. Come back to the hotel to a cool dip in the pool - recommended value for money - photo just selected to show how relaxed we felt

We stayed for 6 nights. Room service was poor no towels supplied 2nd and 4th night
shower soap dispenser empty 2nd night was refilled for 3rd night. No dishwashing liquid supplied after the 3rd night until end of the stay. Left a note after 4th night requesting towels and washing liquid but didn't happen. Fine for a night but we wouldn't recommend long stays.

Stayed for one night after attending International boat show. Room was clean and spacious on the top floor. Reception was warm and welcoming with smooth check-in. We had an upstairs room which was large enough to sleep 6 in a queen and three singles. Bed was comfortable and aircon effectively warmed the room on a cool night. Negatives were considerable traffic noise during the night and poor water pressure in the shower.

Absolutely abysmal customer service. Unable to contact them via phone - I left messages that were not returned. I then emailed, asking for them to call me, which also took a significant time before being responded to, and then all that was said was that the phone was diverted. No helpful information was given, neither was I called. I replied to the email immediately, which received no response. I then emailed a third time, again asking to call, which received an unsatisfactory and unhelpful response. After sending more emails asking them to contact me and more attempted phone calls, I received an email saying “there’s nothing to discuss, you call us”. I then called them, was yelled at and hung up on. Take my money and run. Anyone who is planning on booking here, I would advise to book somewhere else, or if you need to cancel, maybe do it in person - their customer service really is that bad. What would have been a decent amount of income for them, with several visits planned to utilise our dreamworld annual pass will instead be spent on 3park super passes. Never again will I visit here. Simply disgraceful.

VERY close to the M1 and Dreamworld. A little bit hard to get into but easy enough once you figure it out.

The back fence is the barrier for the M1. Is quite loud, but didn't notice it much from the outside.

Check in was easy, room was quite large and modern (except the bathroom), with a double, bunks and a single. Had to check out early unfortunately. Does have a pool and little sitting area

The bad..
80s air con dripped all night and leaked all over the floor.
For 5 people there were 4 cups, 4 glasses and one teaspoon.
Laminated religious quotes on wall, not classy and not needed.
Room was all brick, dark and dingy with a tacky out door metal Cafe table.
Lovely little cockroach to kill.
Towels were not cleaned properly.
Very outdated... needs a revamp/demolished.

The good..
Beds were clean.
80s Air con worked even though it leaked.
Close to themeparks
Had a microwave and fridge

If you want somewhere to stay and don't care if it's actually nice.. this is the place for you.

Location, for who are planing to go Dreamworld, is the best place ever!
Manager was very friendly at check in and at check out, all good.

Well, next door guest kind of didnt respect the others, but that isnt the propriety fault.
also, motorway noise, a little bit too much

Coomera Motor Inn is an older style motel, but it is clean and the owner Tony is a very nice guy to deal with.

Very helpful in the many places, things to do and local restaurants within the area.
We did have a downstairs room as some of the other reviews suggested as it is close to the freeway, but once your doors are closed, it is fairly quiet.

It is the best value Motel within the area.

We ate at the Chinese restaurant upstairs one night and loved the salt and pepper prawns and squid. The fried rice was OK. It is located only a short walk to DreamWorld across the road.

They provide a shuttle bus to the Outback Spectacular for $5 P/P, which we took advantage of, especially since drinks are included with the meal and the show.
Over all, a good value and a comfortable stay.

The door just made it open past the single bed, on entering, a disappointed sigh... 3 beds squashed together then a foot of space where the double bed was situated, there was no space between the 3 single beds, the furniture was falling apart, the beds were old the curtains not clean, the toaster, rusty, tiles missing in the bathroom, and a terrible overwhelming smell of air freshner. I asked for a % of refund so we could find acceptable accomodation elsewhere, he laughed... was told I would be given another room if one became available, number 17 was empty all night, we were never offered this room. We spent about 30 mins cleaning the air vents on the air cooler/heater before we could use it, it was clogged with dust, disgusting! Will never stay here again.I was aware that being so close to the H'way would be noisey and accepted this but the room was old, dirty and uncomfortable.and way too small for a double and 3 single beds.

Response from Tony C, Owner at Coomera Motor Inn
Responded 17 Dec 2013
Sorry but our family room is our most popular ! Agree it is a little cramped, but it is our biggest seller, When you booked the web clearly states 2 adults and 3 children, or 4 adults maximum. You had 5 adults ! And decided to write a negative review ! Once again all our negative reviews are people like yourself who only stay one night.

Over the last 4 years have stayed in this property 6 times with family and friends. Over that time I have paid for around 10 to 12 rooms, the hotel has always been a bit old and tired but service was great. Now new owners and 3 rooms booked this trip. One of the rooms had issues with the power. Only one light worked in the room. Complaint made to new owner who advised that she would get her husband on to it. Hung around for a couple of hours then went out for five hours. Result when arriving back was still the same issue with the power and no explanations. Complained this morning on checkout and my complaint was met with a very terse reply that the head board was old and as such the lights in it didn't work. Then we were told that the husband had been out all day and hadn't been able to look at it. Then the excuse that they had only owned the hotel for three months. The short solution to this would have been to move the occupants to another room. This room should not have been in service as it was not up to standard. The response from management has ensured that my momey will no longer be spent at this establishment.

Yes they do provide towels and we stayed only one night so I would not know how often they changed them. If you contact the Motel directly they would be able to assist you further.
