Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Stayed here for two nights on a 8 week Australia trip. On The plus the bed was comfortable , but that’s about it, the location is too far from the coast at jet is bay ( at least a fifteen minute drive ) also it says self catering but basically you have a gas barbecue outside and a microwave! Really limited to what u csn cook with those. I csn see the attraction if you want a royal get away quiet experience but it really didn’t suit our needs.

Lovely place and amazing location, very peaceful in the middle of the woods but also 10 min drive from Huskisson. This place had it all: comfortable bed, heating, barbecue, fire pit, balneo bath / jacuzzi… and the staff is very friendly! Highly recommended.

Thank you to Flo and her team on an absolutely fantastic 3 Day Whale and seal free dive retreat. Although the conditions did not allow us to visit the area near the seal colony our free dive was awesome, seen a lot of beautiful and amazing sea life thanks to Woebegone Freedive. The retreat from start to finish was outstanding. Flo had thought of everything. This was my very first retreat, first thoughts was it was a little on the expensive side but after attending I can honestly say it was worth every cent. Meals were outstanding absolutely delicious , chefs were amazing. All the staff were so friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. All of the activities included were very beneficial. Thank you again, definitely think this will be a yearly thing:)

We stayed the long weekend in the Hyams cottage. The grounds are huge with a good distance between each dwelling. Parking is ample for any vehicle with any trailer, no matter if you've got a boat, caravan, anything. With 7-8 dwellings on a huge setting, you are not going to be disturbed at any stage. The national park is just next door with no fence, allowing wildlife to enter the property unhindered. This cottage we were in had a smart TV, big sofa, Kingsize bed, spa, BBQ and functional kitchen. The house was cool even when it reached 30 degrees. The cottage does have aircon and a ceiling fan, but didn't use either. The grounds also house a firepit and gazebo if you want to be more social and spend your time there with other couples. The reception area has a small library and games area with a cafe that can make coffee for your morning fix. Husky is just a short drive away with all the facilities it offers. There is a large supermarket less than 10 mins away which also houses takeaway shops, newsagents etc. Overall, we had a great stay and were so sad for the weekend to end. I'm sure we'll be back.

On our later then expected arrival we enjoyed the lovely hamper on the outside sitting area. Comfy bed, great breakfast, nice setting with a bush walk nearby. And the kangaroos said good morning as well. We have an EV and the nearest station was at the Silos vineyard.

This was our second visit from the USA to Bay and Bush Cottages. Once again, it was wonderfully relaxing and so peaceful. Our cottage was immaculate and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. At reception, we were greeted warmly and given suggestions about enjoyable things to do in the area. What a truly unique and memorable location! We hope to return again someday.

Spacious accommodation of a high standard. Very quiet and private, conveniently located near shops and beaches. It was early in the week during off season so we had the place to ourselves. Track out the back entrance was a bit rough but not a problem.

My husband and I stayed in Greenfield Beach cottage recently. Our stay was wonderful- we visited many beaches - the swimming was amazing. The National Park’s botanical garden was a lovely visit. Bay and Bush cottages are very convenient for exploring the area of Jervis Bay. Lots of great meat and fish to buy and cook on the BBQ. Far from the madding crowd - perfect Sorry we had to leave - recommend highly The tree below is a Scribbly Gum Tree 😀
