I planned this accomodation and trip to Jervis Bay as a surprise for my partners 32nd bday and he was so happy!
I want to start off with a HUGE thank you to the staff! Everyone we interacted with was so incredibly lovely, so personable, up for a laugh and just so warm.
Neither of us can really fault anything, I usually try to do my reviews under 3 titles “The Good, The Bad, The Ugly” but all I have is good things to say.
As I said the staff were amazing, the chefs were so accomodating and REALLY put so much effort into making my meals deliciously vegan. There was nothing lazy or boring about my meals and I appreciate it so much. I think it speaks volumes of a chef when they put effort into a vegan meal because so many don’t/don’t want to. My partner loved the choices available on their seasonal menu and we were never left underfed! (We forgot to grab our leftover jambalaya though!)
The accomodation itself was beautiful, clean and very comfortable. Waking up to the sounds of the Australian bush is so wholesome. My favourite part was definitely the outdoor bathtub that looks out onto the bush. We were very lucky to get the King Fisher tent right at the back so never had anyone walking past and had full privacy.
I simply can’t recommend this place enough and have already passed on the details to several friends :) I would absolutely stay here time and time again!

If you still have questions, please don't forget to read my comments. I recommend it and wish I could have stayed longer. Imagine the experience of sleeping in the middle of a forest, in an extremely comfortable tent (it leaves nothing to be desired compared to a good hotel room). The feeling of being safe and at the same time immersed in this habitat. The shower and bathtub, which are strategically located outside, but with complete privacy, allow you to take a shower overlooking this paradise. We had the pleasant surprise of seeing a couple of kangaroos passing by. Furthermore, a young and very well trained team, willing to offer the best. Dinner and breakfast were excellent and pleasantly surprising.

Wow what a place, so chilled and relaxing together with the fabulous food make it a not to be missed part of any holiday.
The tents are truly luxurious and the outdoor bathrooms are quite something- being able to shower while looking into the forest was a great experience.
The icing on the cake was when coming back from the restaurant we found two kangaroos sleeping under the steps of the tent.

We spent two nights at Paperbark Camp and felt we had had a week's holiday. The accommodation was great and the food was exceptional. The staff were more than exceptional! Every detail was carefully taken care of and nothing was too much trouble. On a rainy day we enjoyed the board games in the Gunyah and the beautiful views of the Creek. The quietness and beautiful surroundings ensure a perfect relaxation. We highly recommend Paperbark - and have already done so to our friends.

Peaceful, comfortable stay in a well-equipped safari tent in a paperbark forest, next to a wild creek. Canoes and bikes available at no extra charge. Food was outstandingly good! Locally sourced, top quality and prepared with flair. Service excellent and nothing too much trouble. From firepits at night, to alpaca rugs in the safari tents, cold nights not a problem. Close to coast and townships, but with a totally isolated feeling. Would have given it 5 Stars except for one personal problem - mosquitoes. No repellent deters them when it comes to me, and Paperbark Camp does all it can: provides mosquito nets, natural and chemical repellents, burns smoke repellents, etc. Still got eaten alive. So, regretfully, we won't be returning. However, if you're in the area and if you're one of my mob who the mozzies love, don't rule out spending the evening in their delightful lounge/dining room. You can book in for dinner without staying there.

We enjoyed our stay immensely. The accommodation is designed for a relaxing time in an incredible bush setting. The staff were particularly helpful and the meals, cocktails and the overall dining experience was of a high standard. The setting allows peaceful walks and at times dropping into the main dining area for coffee / tea and snacks.

From the time we arrived till the day we left....the service, the tent, the food it is just amazing. The staff here can’t do enough to ensure that you have an amazing stay. It is a shame we could only stay one night as this place is always fully booked at least 2 months in advance. It is worth every single cent and now I know why it is so popular. Please put this on your bucket list. One advise is please do not leave any food in your tent. It clearly tells you that in their welcome pack. My dear wife forgot and we woke up at midnight.....looking at us was this beautiful big possum with the most amazing big eyes enjoying the late night snack. Compliments from my wife. With some gentle persuasion the possum left through a small opening at the front of the tent. What an adventure. We had a good laugh but happy to be so close to nature. We would be back again for sure.

Our tent was very comfortable and to our surprise, expecting no power, there was a USB charging port that charged our phones. The delivery of a thermos of hot water at 7:15am to make coffee tided us over until breakfast at 8. The food in the Gunyah was excellent and the people were all really lovely. The Gunyah also had good seating areas to hang out inside and out. We saw our first kangaroos of our trip right outside our tent. Great excursions to Booderee national park.

We hired two tents for a special family celebration. Whilst we can't fault the amenities, food and service, for the very expensive price, I believe there is much better value for money. It missed the real wow factor for us - some simple extra touches could be incorporated that you would expect for this price point.

I returned to Paperbark this year because last time it was perfect. This time was even more perfect!
The property has been upgraded since this time last year with new life vests for watercraft, new watercraft, a new and much bigger guest fridge and a complete refurb of one style of tent. My tent had been replaced with a new one which kept the pesky possums at bay, well, mostly.
Check in: Smooth and efficient and as I was in the same spot as last year I didn’t need the guided tour.
Food: 6 days and 6 different breakfast specials. Each and every one was yum. I think my favourite was the chorizo and salsa, the fritters cam a close second. The dinners were TDF, and once again, with multiple nights there were mix and match options for me on the “double up” nights. Cocktails on the deck- tick
Tent and sleep: Mostly excellent but despite strictly adhering to the no food in tent rule I did get an in tent visitor. This was my fault as 1. I missed a zip on the clip and 2. I didn’t realise a coconut mask would be so attractive. The tent was a little cool one evening but then I realised I should have pulled up the flaps. Plenty of extra blankets and the bed is sooo snuggly. No noisy groups this year and all the kids were fantastic
Critters: Yep, there were mossies. There are mossies at my house at the moment too. Lots of rain does that. There are burners or you can retreat to the swing under the Gunyah. For the most part the repellent repelled. The roos jumped ina few times and my neighbours were graced by a visit by a lace monitor.
Out and about: Jervis Bay is a gem. This time I spent a lot of energy doing a few walks in the rain. The walk around the Botanical gardens was excellent. This was a suggestion on the board. I didn’t even know the gardens existed! Day 1 and 2 were limited water wise by the weather, a Tsunami and a cyclone post marine event. Had an awesome surf at Blenheim on the final day.
Don’ts: Go expecting a 5 star hotel. You have a million star tent. Put food in your tent. Be afraid of the critters.
Do: Enjoy Revel in the peace and quiet
I’m burning my candle and dreaming of Paperbark
