Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We visited with my grown-up, son and girlfriend and have a great time in the camp. The accommodation was of a very high standard with a lovely bed. Bathroom was outside but again had lovely fittings and the pipework was rustic but appropriate. The bar and restaurant area is lovely, and the food was excellent. One of our party was vegan and she was well catered for. the staff went out of the way to make sure that we had a good time. There are mosquitoes, but the repellents and nets in place did a good job and we suffered no bites.

We were a bit skeptical after reading some negative reviews of the Camp but found nothing that was said was really warranted. All staff were excellent and knowledgeable, there were mosquito nets around the bed, bed was comfortable, no issues with the outside bathroom (we stayed in Pelican), food was excellent and no extra charge for vegetables. Either the reviews we read were wrong or the owners have responded and made changes. Would look forward to staying again sometime.

Such a lovely place, excellent breakfast with lovely fresh fruits, excellent dinner, kangaroos in the morning next to the tent, the birds singing… Hot water brought in the morning to have cofffe or tea in the tent while watching the animals around. We enjoyed it very much!

The camp is just fantastic. The tents are so comfortable with great showers and really good beds. Far enough apart for privacy and yet close to the other facilities. The food is amazing and friendly knowledgeable staff who go out of their way to make your stay awesome. Would absolutely recommend this place

This was a fabulous 2 night stay. The tent was wonderful and very secluded. The food was amazing and the staff could not have been more helpful, an absolute joy. It was rather a shame that the same dinner menu was provided on both evenings, breakfast menu changed on second morning and was delicious.

True glamping with an exceptional restaurant, The Gunyah. The chefs are amazing! Thankyou. The tents are set apart in the gorgeous bush setting Our tent, Sugar Glider was a good size, the bed comfortable and the open air bathroom was totally suited to the surrounds. The claw footed bath was very inviting. You leave here feeling very well fed and very relaxed. Next time we hope the weather is fine so we can explore on the kayaks and bikes

Told my somewhat dubious wife that this would be nothing like camping. Clearly I lied. We listened to the rain on our tent at night and woke up to glorious views of the bush in the morning. So relaxing. The restaurant was terrific too although we had to choose from the same menu on the second night which was a touch disappointing but the food was very good anyway. Having a bath basically in the bush was a highlight.

Since we live on the South Coast this was a last minute getaway decision - booked on Monday and checked in, for 2 nights, on Wednesday. What an absolute treat it was too. The service, from moment of arrival to moment of departure, was nothing short of outstanding. The team made us feel like members of the family. The dining (both dinner and breakfast) at the Gunyah Restaurant was exceptionally good - lots of things are made in house and most ingredients are local/regional. The accommodation was just beautiful and unique. The tent we stayed in was spacious (for a couple) and very well appointed. The attached outdoor bathroom (with rain shower and a separate bath tub) completed the experience. The bathroom is under cover but still completely outdoors - the bath is a must try! The tents have limited power supply (a few lights and USB charging points) so don't be expecting a fridge, hairdryer, TV ... you won't need them anyway! Anything you need that's not in your tent can be found/requested at the reception which is no more than a 1 minute walk from your tent. Paperbark Camp oozes relaxation, friendliness, service and attention to detail - we loved our stay.
