We had a wonderfully relaxing stay at this quaint little house atop a hill.
We had a beautiful view of the Hunter Valley from the balcony attached to our room complete with finches and a few wallabies roaming about just beneath the balcony itself.

While the owner lived in the lower level of the house, there were many times we forget they were there as they were so unintrusive.

The room was clean and spacious, with a large ensuite and spa bath, mini fridge, table and chairs with plates, glasses and cutlery and when it was a little humid we had a split air con above the bed. The owners have thought of everything to ensure a comfortable stay!

The residence is quite tucked away and private, yet still less than a 15 drive to shops and vineyards.

Absolutely loved our stay and would stay here again!

PS. We booked with them direct via their website and got 10% off our stay price.

This place has great views and very friendly hosts. We booked the cabin and loved it right away. Very private and comfortable with fireplace and lots of stocked wood. Bush walking nearby as well as short drive to wine country hotspots. Will visit again very soon.

Our hosts were lovely and you really appreciated the back breaking work they did to build this b&b. Accommodating in every way, beautiful rooms and amazing view. Definitely recommend.

It is a nice spot with good views. We have been on the self contained, cosy place with a lovely fire place and a big TV screen and simple kitchenette as well. Unfortunately, we felt that the manager did not put any interest in hosting us.
We payed for breakfast but we did not have it. Why?: tea, just instant coffee, juice, cereals, bread, butter and jam. From 8:00 to 9:00, but they ask you to book in advance time breakfast the previous evening with 15 minutes precision (8:00, 8:15, 8:30, 8:45). So, you are enjoying holidays but you have to decide your schedule at their convenience for having simple things that don´t need to be cooked.
Our towels, were the most cheap towels than we ever used. Very uncomfortable.
If you have special requirements (Gluten Free) they are not very keen in helping you. NO wi fi. No BBQ.
Nevertheless, the environment were worthy and we had a very good week end.

Response from Christine T, Manager at Bimbadeen Mountain Retreat
Responded 1 Sept 2014
Firstly I cant believe this review it is totally misleading and exaggerated . Firstly this guest booked 2 days ahead of the arrival date with no special requirements mentioned. At 10.30am on the morning of arrival the lady phones and advised me her husband is allergic to wheat. Could he have a wheat free breakfast. I did offer you a gluten free breakfast and you said “he is wheat free not gluten free and there is a difference” and declined my offer. You went on about all the products he could eat which I have in 13 years of running the B&B have never been asked to supply to any one. I explained we are out of town and I would not have time to go to town and purchase special wheat free items for his breakfast at last minute. I did offer you a gluten free breakfast and you said “he is wheat free not gluten free and there is a difference” and declined my offer. So I don’t understand you saying “I WAS NOT KEEN TO HELP YOU WITH A GLUTEN FREE BREAKFAST “ as I offered it to you and you said no.! Although I have a gluten free range of cereals and breads available which I always keep in stock. She advised me this would not do. Our breakfast is quality yoghurt. quality Carmens deluxe fruit muesli and a variety of other cereals a fruit platter, quality juice, grain breads butter and condiments. I did speak to you about the breakfast and you said you would look after yourself. There is a picture of our breakfast on our website. With regard to the time for breakfast every where you stay has a breakfast time. I would of happily given you the breakfast the night before to put together at your own convenience but you did not request this. I don’t offer WIFI so don’t expect it. You did complain direct with me that I don’t supply a cooked breakfast. I don’t offer a cooked breakfast so don’t expect one. With the BBQ it was a way for repairs during the time of your stay again this was not requested by you during your stay the first I heard about it was on trip advisor if you asked you would of been informed why the BBQ was not available to use. I don’t understand your complaint about the towels as there is nothing wrong with them. I asked you on checkout how was your stay and you said great. You did not bring up issues you have raised on trip advisor!!!!! I just don’t understand . Why cant people who have a issue come and deal direct with the manager of the property rather than be petty on websites. So all issues can be resolved during the stay. Please read our reviews from guest that have stayed with us that have already stayed in the self contained cottage an have given lovely complements about our breakfasts and their stay with us.

What a fantastic place. From the moment we walked in I was in love. The furnishings are wonderful, the place is great and the views are breath taking. It was quiet, peaceful, and the perfect place to rejuvinate for the weekend! The breakfast was fantastic, and the owners were lovely. I have reccomended this place to everyone and will definately return to visit again. It is only a short drive to Polkibin where we stocked up on treats and wines.... but it didnt take long before we retreated back the the BnB for a spa bath to enjoy them!

My husband & I stayed for a 2 night get away. Stunning sandstone property, spectacular views, super comfy bed, delicious continental breakfast, beautifully maintained rooms/bathroom/gardens, extremely helpful & friendly hosts Chris & Joe. All this and reasonably priced - you can't go wrong.

We stayed at Bimbadeen in the 'cottage' on 29th and 30th April. The view from the property is stunning. chris and Joe are the perfect hosts, The building work that has gone into this property is amazing. During our stay we incorporated a wine tasting tour of the Hunter vineyards with chris in her limo. She was the 'font' of knowledge and new exactly were to go in the valley.

What a gorgeous place. From the moment we arrived nothing was to much trouble for hosts Chris and Joe. The accommodation was meticulously clean, breakfast was fresh and delicious. All this smack in the middle of Gods country.

This is an excellent B&B in the Hunter Valley, great house with 2 very well presented B&B rooms plus the self contained cabin.
We stay in one of the rooms that are very well appointed, including spa and fantastic views of the Valley all the way to the lights of Cessnock at night time.
Our host were absolutely great, she took care of us and our friends very well indeed.
I will love to go back there soon and I will indeed recommend this B&B to others.
