We talked on the phone with the owner before we went to Mindo. We lost our way cause its difficult to reach, after 30 min on the phone we got there and there was nobody to attend us. Some one from the town came to open the door and slowly show us the place. I felt scared cause there was... More

The spot is incredible, great view of the forest and hills. We had a room with an amazing view and with a jacuzzi! Breakfast is served in a terrace from where you can see humming birds and toucans and more. Osvaldo has been very helpful and a great host. Dinner is ok but breakfast is great!

I was so excited to go to Mindo to see the scenery and birds, and was especially excited to stay at Terrabambu after seeing pictures and reading the reviews. We spent 3 weeks travelling around Colombia and Ecuador, and this is the only spot on our entire trip where I would NOT return to. By far the most expensive, with... More

The Terrabambu lodge is absolutely incredible!! The location is beautiful as the lodge sits about 1 mile outside of Mindo and overlooks the town and the jungle. Each cabin is very private and perfectly equipped for your jungle vacation. We stayed in Cabana 6 (the treehouse) and I'd highly recommend requesting it if it is available. The lodge itself is... This is a beautiful location, but terrible service and not worth the expense. I really think that the negative reviews of the place are spot on as the cabins smelled of mold, the sheets were damp, and the caretakers of the place seemed unconcerned regarding my comments about the place. It is simply not worth the money, despite having a... More

This hotel is definitely off the beaten path and difficult to find. When you arrive you are greated by stunning grounds. The hotel is perched in the cloud forrest with a beautiful view of Mindo and the area. The rooms are all private cabins. Be prepared that since this property is in the rainforest you will likely experience some bugs... More

I have to start off by saying that overall we enjoyed our stay here. The grounds are very private with gorgeous views from the main lodge as well as the private cabins which were built in a very modern style of architecture yet with a nod to traditional Ecuadorian building, i.e. thatched roofs. The grounds are well maintained with a... More

Beautiful location, but came because of the reviews of the food. Stayed 2 nights, arrived around 6:30. We were starving so ate right away. Ordered a nice bottle of Cabernet, I ordered the trout with seeds & my husband ordered the chicken. Both were over cooked & dry. The next night after all day hiking we ordered the shrimp &... More

Amazing place set in the rain forest but with great views of Mindo and the valley below. The food is excellent and the owner is very helpful and accommodating. We walked 20 minutes up the road to the zip line over the cloud forest and had a wonderful experience there. Then 40 minutes back in the opposite direction to the... More
