German owner. Has battery and generator backup for hotel. He is prepared! Good wifi in downstairs common area, it sort of makes it up to the rooms upstairs. Very good restaurant with good tea and coffee. It was our central spot to connect and regroup from birdwatching.

We had a lovely quiet room with the noise of a gentle stream trickling by. The breakfast was tasty and large. We travelled with 4 of us including 2 young children (6 and 3) and we had two rooms (one with a double bed and one with bunks) which was perfect, at a reasonable price. We loved Mindo, and had...

My wife and i stayed 2 nights there. The room is good. The window of our room is facing the forest (though partly obstructed by the roof downstair) and we are happy with it. Hummingbirds keep visiting the little garden. We joined 2 tours reccomended by the owner: night walk with a biologist and bird watching with an experienced and...

Adventure traveling and came into town on the bus and noticed the Dragonfly Inn as we passed by. We were approached by about 3 or 4 folks when we got off the bus offering rooms but the Dragonfly just looked like a place we needed to be. Got a preview of our room complete with small balcony, hammock and separate...

Dragonfly Inn: right as you enter Mindo, on the river...what an excellent location. A beautiful wooden building, comfortable rooms, hammocks in every little balcony, a hearty breakfast is not all...the information and guidance about Mindo they provide is very very good. They recommend the best tours, the best trails. We had a 3 night stay in Mindo. We found the accommodation at Dragonfly Inn, clean comfortable and very relaxing. We also ate there a few times and the meals were very good and great value. The owner was very helpful and gave a number of really good suggestions. A previous comment mentioned the owner being obnoxious, not at all....

Pros: I stayed here with a friend and we loved that there were balconies with hammocks to relax and look at the view of the mountains. The room was very clean and there was warm water. There was also complimentary breakfast. Cons: the walls are very thin so it sounds like someone is walking around in your room but they're...

Hello A. and friend. Lets get rid of some myths first: Ecuador has no glas-cable -internet-infrastructure. Internet is slow (max 2mb in Mindo) and due to overland cables and bad weathers often affected. Routers available for wifi here in ecuador support n - not g standard, which is much more reliable. Welcome to a 2.5 world country. But i understand,...

Stayed here after a not great experience in another popular hostel the first night. Loved this spot and the breakfast was best we've had in a while. Good home brewed beer and helpful owners. Worth the extra $10 you pay here as you get an excellent breakfast.
