Our room was decent enough with a nice ocean view and wonderful balcony. The problems began with a lack of hot water. Unfortunately, we were there for 3 nights. The location is great and a nice walking distance to a park frequented by the locals. I'm sure at one point this was the place to be, but until they can...

Our first room had ants on the floor. I reported this to the staff, and they said that they would send the exterminator, but no exterminator ever appeared. We packed our belongings and were moved to a second room. That room had ants on top of the dresser, so we were moved to a third room. We could not get...

Biggest hotel around, and perhaps the ugliest building in the city, but fine on the inside. The room was large and clean with a large, comfortable bed and a nice balcony with a view over the bay, city and pool. Most rooms on this wing shared the same. Comfy chair in room was a bonus but there was no main...

The main lobby & reception area has had a refurb so is very welcoming, the staff were extremely efficient and the mirrored lifts were different, so at this point I was pleasantly surprised, however the rooms are very basic and the bathrooms although smelling of bleach, therefore clean were in dire need of a refurb, the shower was grotty with...

I was hesitant upon arriving at this hotel after reading several reviews about this hotel. I was expecting below-average accommodations, but was pleasantly surprised. Yes, the building is straight out of the 40's and doesn't seem like it has been updated since, but it is clean and tidy, which is all I could ask for. The wifi connectability is scarce,...

When you travel to Cuba, it is best to lower your standards so you will not be disappointed. For Cuba, this hotel is not bad, although it does not compare to other hotels around the world. Our guides told us to be grateful for a toilet seat and air conditioning. We had both at this hotel, so I cannot really...

This hotel is a bit dated but all rooms will have a sea & pool view as it's situated on a peninsular though If you are on the 2nd floor some tropical trees may partly obscure your view. The rooms are clean but basic with a fridge but you have to pay extra from the in room safe, about 2...

The exterior, lobby, lifts and pool are palatial and give an excellent first impression. Rooms, however, leave something to be desired. We had no hot water in our basin, and the door lock didn't work. Staff seemed uninterested, and it took our tour guide's intervention to help us change room. We were not alone with problems, and a significant number...
