Criollo is delicious but the good food was delivered and served by the BEST server ever. Thank you Charmaine. Go to Crillo and ask for Charmaine. She was an excellent advisor on the cuisine served in this restaurant and continually assisted us by coming by and making sure we never had to ask for anything. We appreciate her New Orleans Saints hospitality. The Atlanta Falcon fans we are will never forget this experience. Charmaine you are golden and awesome. The beignets !!!!

Very modern and comfortable B&B, excellent room, comfortable living room to relax,
great breakfasts, and host Frankie was very friendly and helpful. Felt like a motel
privacy but also B&B service and atmosphere. Located close to a number of local
attractions.

We stayed one night after visiting the Cape St. Mary's Ecological Reserve. Frankie was very nice and knowledgeable about Placentia. She also made good breakfast. Our room had two beds, but didn't realize using two beds would be extra charge (owner drop off the charge after checking with the confirmation email) . We also wish the room would provide a larger night stand and or a desk for putting things on.

We are currently enjoying an amazing two weeks travelling in Newfoundland, and were lucky to stay at this super B and B . The owners Frankie and Ed were so welcoming . Nothing was too much trouble and they made us feel totally at home. The visitors lounge is large and comfortable with plenty of books to browse , and the beds were comfortable . Breakfasts were superb , a lovely selection of fruit, cooked pancakes, bacon, eggs etc. Frankie and Ed were a mine of useful information about where to go, what to see, and were keen to help in every possible way. If you love dogs, you will adore Eddie , their cute black spaniel . I wanted to bring him back to the U.K! Lovely people and lovely Newfoundland hospitality - thank you both for making our stay a memorable one.

Stayed here for 3 days and nights. The "full breakfast" was far from 'full' and each day was cold, or burnt and quantity was pitiful. For $125 a night - the service was not good. No clean towels or sheets each day either - had to ASK for them.

Of all the B&B's we stayed at while in Newfoundland we rated this as number one. Our ferry back to North Sydney was delayed 2 days because of a hurricane coming up the east coast. Ed and Frankie made you feel like you were in your own home. The room we were in was very clean and spacious. When we arrived Frankie asked what we liked for breakfast and I said fruit and yogurt. She didn't have yogurt so she went out and bought some fresh fruit and yogurt for us. When we came down in the morning there it was and so well presented. Her homemade muffins are delicious along with her homemade jam. There were other people staying there and they served almost anything you wanted, and if you wanted more you got more. Our ferry didn't leave until 5:00 p.m. and checkout was at 11:00 a.m. but they said we could sit in the very spacious living room as long as we wanted. They have all sorts of suggestions for touring the area which we were grateful for as we had not planned on being there. If you stay there be sure to eat at Phillips - the food is great. The home baking gets bought up quickly in the morning - we went before we were going to the boat to get some cookies and pasty but it was all gone. DON'T east at the motel Harold's. The food is awful. There was another restraunt called the Three Sisters but we didn't get a chance to east there.

Room Tip: I would choose the room with two beds because it had its own private bath.

When you feel like your home you are home.I made it a point to come back to The Best Kind of Bed and Breakfast because as woman on her own I felt like I was at home. I have fallen in love with Newfoundland so on my return this fall I needed to come back.
Frankie and Ed are the best they go out of the way for you in everything you need.Very special people. Loved having my room as the last time I could settle in and feel comfortable . They celebrate Thanksgiving with me oh my I enjoyed myself. Thanks again such fun

Lovely to stay one night here with Frankie at 'The Best Kind B+B' in a very comfortable and large room with two queen beds for my mother and I after spending the day exploring around Cape St. Mary's. Huge and delicious breakfast in the morning of fruit, pancakes and sausage as well as Frankie's homemade blueberry muffins! Thanks Frankie!!!

We have just enjoyed a wonderful two night stay at the Best Kind B&B. Our hosts Frankie and Ed were superb. They could not have been more welcoming, and they went the extra mile to make us feel welcome, comfortable and relaxed in their beautiful home. Bedrooms were well appointed, and there is a lovely provided for guests to relax. Breakfasts were superb. Fresh fruit, home cooked muffins, and a variety of cooked breakfasts. Above all it was Frankie and Ed were so helpful in giving us good advice on what sites to visit, and as British visitors it was great to hear anecdotes about Newfoundland life. We fell in love with Eddie the spaniel, and would have smuggled him home if we could. Thanks Ian and Mary Angell.
