We were looking forward to a relaxing stay at Monmouth. I imagined myself sitting in one of those lovely rocking chairs as seen on the website. Unfortunately it was unseasonably cold and absolutely pouring with rain which meant that our visit to Natchez was a bit of a disappointment. The Inn however fulfilled all our other expectations. The staff was...

Having been to multiple bed and breakfast sites in the south we were quite impressed with Monmouth Plantation as our Romantic 40th Anniversary Getaway. As you drove up and walked on the grounds you were welcomed to a lovely journey back in time. The friendly and welcoming staff exhibited a passion and love for Monmouth!!! It is quite evident that...

We stayed two nights in the main house, had dinner in the dinning room and drinks in the Lounge. The room was very nice and quiet with separate climate control and a beautiful view out the front of the house. We also sat on the front balcony and had coffee in the morning. The food in the dining room and...

Spent two nights and hated to leave! Very quiet, beautiful grounds to walk at your leisure. Dinner was very good in the main house. The southern breakfast is delicious and staff very friendly! Will be back!

We will be back to Natchez and Monmouth. Roosevelt in the Quitman's Lounge was amazing; you must get a drink from him. We stayed near the pond. Beautiful grounds which include a nice walking trail. The southern breakfast was amazing, ham, eggs, grits, biscuits and bacon. You can substitute the ham (city not country) for more bacon or sausage. We...

My husband and I spent 11 days touring the Southern States of America in October of this year. We spent two nights at The Monmoth and were quite impressed when we drove up the drive to the hotel. The grounds were lovely and well looked after, as was the main house. We were booked into one of the appartments in...

stayed 2 nights here with beautiful suite in an outbuilding. Dinner was superb in the main house surrounded by memorabilia from the Civil war. Very reasonably priced and within walking distance of the historic downtown area of Nachez. If you come to Natchez you must stay here

The grounds are beautiful, large, ponds, fountains, flowers, plants, the house is beautiful. Congrats to the new owners, who have put all of their energy and efforts into making this a spectacular Inn. Bathroom is good, shower good with good pressure. Only one hand towel and it took two days to get a second one, must be most of their...

We found this Inn in the AAA travel book. We booked three nights - two were on a package which included tours through three antebellum mansions (Monmouth is on the list), a carriage ride for two, and dinner for two. We added the third night - breakfast is included with the room. We discovered Mary - she makes the pancakes...

Ranked number one place to stay in Natchez but we chose a hotel closer to the Visitor's center. Was glad we stopped by. Very nice home and grounds even for a quick stop to see it. Close to Melrose and local eateries and downtown Natchez.
