Stayed in the Pond Cottage. The accommodations were wonderful. Well appointed with great amenities. AC worked well-which was a plus with the heat and humidity. Gandy was our tour guide of the antebellum home . She was very knowledgeable, interesting with tidbits of trivia. We ate in the 1818 restaurant for dinner. The food and service was superb. Highly recommend.

We spent two nights here & it was beautiful. Really quiet, authentic, historical & charmingly Southern. The dining room 1818 is a must with romantic atmosphere & surroundings along with excellent food. We stayed in one of the garden cottages which was lovely, comfortable & peaceful. Lacey gave us an excellent tour of the house & was both knowledgeable &... More

My husband and I stayed here for one night on our way to Destin. This property is all that it claims. Very friendly staff from our first encounter to our last. We chose not dress up to eat at their onsite restaurant - instead we had a mint julep and complimentary appetizers in the Quitman lounge. They offer a menu... More

My husband and I wanted a weekend outing away from city life. We couldn't have been happier with our choice. We were welcomed and treated with genuine care and respect from every staff member we came in contact with. The grounds were beautiful and perfectly maintained. Our room was clean and had everything we needed. The food was delicious (best... More

We were surprised about Natchez, a small town with many pictoresque buildings. And we were even more surprised about the Monmouth Historic Inn, a beautiful, luxury antebellum hotel! In there you find everything what the heart desired, you are treated like a king! Although the integrated restaurant is top, offers a tasty american cuisine! Beautiful place, the visit is a... More

We had been traveling and driving long hours. By the time we arrived in Natchez, we were ready to relax. The grounds were fabulous! It was simply wonderful sipping wine near a little pond, enjoying the surroundings. We especially enjoyed the bartender, Roosevelt, who evidently has been working at Monmouth for over 25 years. He was so kind and hospitable.... More

We stayed here three nights in the middle of our deep south tour and it was a very different experience. We were not sure what to expect when we arrived because this was our first 'plantation house' stay on our trip. We stayed in the annexe to the main house called the courtyard, above the reception, gift shop and former... More
