My daughter and I had stayed one night for a short weekend getaway. Ron and Mimi were very nice and gave us the low down on the area, maps, etc. The breakfast was wonderful and our room was very nice. I would stay there again.

This was a one-night stop for us on our way to the Mississippi Gulf Coast. So glad we stayed with Ron and Mimi who were very knowledgeable about the area. The B&B was convenient to walking in the old historic area and the Mississippi bluff area. It should be noted that the rooms are on the second floor and may...

Thanks for taking the time to write a review and saying such kind things. Also, thanks for mentioning that all our guest rooms are on the second floor so that future guests, who may not have visited our web site, will be aware of that fact. The First Room, where you stayed, is the only room on the west side,...

We had the 'romantic' room which was delightful. The breakfasts were plentiful and delightful and the hosts Ron and Mimi were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful while giving us plenty of space. They supplied wine and fruit and it was lovely to sit on the veranda with a glass of wine at the end of the day before dining out. The...

Thanks for taking the time to write a review and for saying such good things. Also, thanks for mentioning the extra items (wine, fruit, soft drinks) that are available without charge. We must have had a mild January day for your to enjoy sitting on the veranda. The First Room, where you stayed, is the only room with a tall...

We had such a great time at the Wensel House. We really liked the atmosphere there; friendly relaxed, intelligent, urbane hosts and a house that feels lived in rather than a show home. We felt like we'd gone to stay with some old friends. If I was ever in Natchez again - which doesn't seem likely - then I'll be...

We stayed here at the conclusion of our bicycle trip down the Natchez Trace. Ron was a wonderful host and exceptionally helpful. He drove us to dinner and to the car rental agency the following morning. He and Mimi are very knowledgeable about the community and interesting to talk to about the history of the area. The room was very...

We stayed here for one night and afterward wished we had stayed longer. The house itself is lovely and well located, within walking distance to everything. Our room, Front Room, was nicely furnished and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and generous. But the best part of our stay was enjoying conversations with Ron and Mimi. They are deeply involved in...

Centrally located in Natchez, near major restaurants (next door to Fat Mama’s Hot Tamales) and in the heart of a historic neighborhood. Plenty of parking, easy to get to, very nice neighborhood to walk in. Free Internet and soft drinks with ice machine. One block from walk along the Mississippi River. Hosts were very gracious - breakfast was excellent. Denver...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The restored Victorian house is conveniently located for walking, being only a block from the park along the edge of the park overlooking the river and only 4 blocks from the center of town. The three guest rooms are on the 2nd floor. Each has 2 beds (Queen & Single) and a private "en suite" bathroom adjoining just that room. A full breakfast is freshly-cooked each morning (eggs, bacon, sausage, grits, home-made biscuits, blueberry pancakes, fresh fruit, orange juice, & coffee or tea). Wine, soft drinks, and fresh fruit are gratis and are available any time. You help yourself to Franzia Chardonnay in a box in the refrigerator and to soft drinks and purified water and ice in the bar at the foot of the stairs. Your hosts enjoy providing you with guidance on what to see and where to eat and drink. A free, small, secluded, private, on-site parking lot is located behind the house, at the end of Wensel Street. ... more   less
