We had an outdoor supper meal at Glenfield antebellum home strangely served by members of the family dressed in both Confederate and Union uniforms. Fortunately all was peaceful for the good local specialities served up. The family members showing us round this antebellum mansion were extremely likeable and informative. Our hostess, dressed in true Southern style, showed us the bullet... More

I love this place. It has so much character and the owners are as nice as they can be. We stayed for a girl friend weekend and fell in love with this place. You get a tour of this home while you stay here and there is a neat bullet hole in the front with a neat little story that... More

Stepping into the foyer of this ante bellum mansion, I was immediately taken back to a time and place that held great romantic appeal. The home is a free-wheeling mix of various styles thanks to add-on extensions during its long life. Our hostess, a truly refined woman of a certain age displayed a bullet hole fired through the front door... More

We travelled to Natchez for our one night stay at Glenfield to find they had overbooked accommodation. They had however, already arranged alternative accommodation for us at a comfortable, nearby motel. We visited the following morning for a tour and history of the Plantation including seeing some of the furnishings, photos and journal entries or previous occupants.

Shorter stay than I normally stay but lovely as always. Beautiful setting, friendly hosts, and loved my breakfasts. Clean and comfortable room and bathroom. I enjoy the quiet setting, beautiful property and yet just 5 minutes from downtown. All good! I will return.

The room we were to stay in was in need of a good cleaning and some fresh paint. There were used bath products in the dirty bathroom, but no linens. The lock on the room was broken and we would have to get the owners to let us in. Also our personal belongings would have to be left in an... More

Let's tell the readers the truth shall we? First off, your arrival was early, and not during check-in time and you were told your room was not ready yet. Secondly, this is our HOME!! No one was going to break into your room with the cameras and alarm systems we have, and your door lock did WORK! The owner told... More

Our visit to Glenfield Plantation (part of a tour group) was for dinner only. There were no guests staying in the residence the night we visited. I am not sure whether the family open the residence for dinner for individuals. I suspect not, but of course, the house is also a B&B where you can stay overnight. The family owners'... More

We arrived at Glenfield Plantation around 9,30 in the evening and were given a wonderful welcome from Miss Marjorie. She welcomed us with open arms and a big hug settled us down with four other lady guests from Texas then invited us to help ourselves to a welcome drink and snacks. She then showed us our accommodation and asked what... More

My wife and I spent three nights at the Glenfield Plantation in early April, 2016. The experience was disappointing. First, our room was not as clean as we thought it should be and the outside furniture was filthy and in disarray, making a morning coffee or evening wine unpleasant, We were not treated to a tour of the old house... We are sorry to hear of your disappointing stay. There are a few statements you made which I would like to address. - The room was clean as it was inspected by myself. Since you are not familiar with staying in an antebellum home dating back to 1800's, please do not confuse old with dirt. Being here for three nights,... More
