Friendly, helpful and accommodating staff, great location, comfortable room and overall the hotel is great value for the modest price. Breakfast was very good and every effort was made to make my stay enjoyable.

Returned for another weekend to the wonderful village of Llanrhaedr and the ever reliable Wynnstay. Good wholesome food, especially the dinners at very reasonable prices. Okay, the rooms aren't the Dorchester, but there isn't anything wrong with them. Emminently functional, clean and tidy. They offer alot more character than the sterile rooms of leading budget hotels. The Wynnstay is perfectly...

My wife and I returned to Llanrhaeadr recently looking for a relaxing break, and having stayed at The Wynnstay before, decided to check in again. Despite last visiting over a year ago, the chap booking us in recognised us and gave us a lovely warm welcome which you just don't find in most larger hotels and chains any more. We...

Absentee owner did not tell staff about our reservation despite three emails, including one reserving a table for dinner on arrival. The barman said the cook had phoned in sick, but they don't do food on Sundays anyway! He suggested we could get fish and chips and eat them in the bar. Nobody else was staying, and nobody else was...

Thank you for that review, firstly may I point out that I never received any booking conformation from you, so that is why you were not booked in. I have no idea who told you that the hotel was on the market and will follow that up with the staff. I was informed that you were not happy with the...

We stayed at this hotel for lunch on a weekday. The food was fresh and tasty, quickly prepared and served with a smile. The drinks were also delicious . Staff were friendly and helpful . The downstairs eating areas were clean and well presented but all a little out of date.we did not stay over so cannot comment on bedrooms...

Me, my wife and two friends stayed here for a weekend on a dinner bed and breakfast deal - excellent value. It is not the Ritz, but a genuine warm welcome, decent pub food, and friendly people made for an excellent stay. To top it all, we were there to cycle and discovered that this area is wonderful cycling territory.

Stayed at the Wynnstay one night and had to eat there as no where else. Room ok -- clean and spacious but central heating not very efficient and heater provided as a result did not work . It was flushing the toilet that was the most dramatic experience ever -- sounded like your own formula 1 car in the bathroom...

Thank you for your review, as an owner of the hotel I insist that I am informed of quests comments, I have spoken to the barman on duty, and he doesn't speak Welsh so I am not sure that comment is correct. the Severn Trent water authority had turned off the water and there was an air lock in the...

My wife and I stayed here while looking at property to buy. We found the hotel staff friendly and attentive. The room was clean and comfortable - no frills, just how we like it. The food - both dinner and breakfast were EXCELLENT! We will be back!! Loved it!

We arrived in the village to view some houses with intent to buy a new home. Staying at one of the local pubs is an ideal way to get to know the area. The Wynnstay is quiet in winter. We were the only residents for our first night but the styaff were delightful. Friendly bar and restaurant service, though we...

This was our second visit this year having spent five nights at this hotel in March. This time we were booked in for six nights and the deal included breakfast and evening meal. The Wynnstay certainly can't be described as five star luxury because it isn't that kind of a place. It's homely and it is found in a beautiful...
