We were here on a wowcher. ,thank goodness as I would have been upset paying the full price. This hotel is like something out of the 70`s and in need of a complete refurbishment. Even the menu was dated. No atmosphere, staff not very friendly except at breakfast. Abington itself has nothing in it. Very disappointing.

This was a treat for my partner for part of his birthday. Little did I know that the hotel was the only thing in Abington apart from a few houses. There was no entertainment, we even had to ask them to put the music on. Ended up just me n my partner by 10 o'clock. We had a few more...

Stayed at the hotel with a Wowcher, £59 for bed breakfast & a course evening meal with a glass of wine each. The room was small, bed was clean & comfortable but I would not have paid £90 for it, which is the current rate. The hotel overall needs a sprucing up, having said that for what we paid, we...

This is our second visit to this hotel with our coach group Coach Travel 4u. The last time was four years ago. The hotel was the same, cosy, comfortable with friendly pleasant and helpful staff. We all had lovely rooms the bed linen crisp & clean and clean towels daily even if we didn't ask for them. The breakfasts were...

We popped in in the off chance for some Sunday lunch. The carvery was available with a good selection of veg. Nice meal with a choice for starters and sweets. The price was excellent too and ranged from £9 to £11 for 3 courses.

We have just returned from a 2 x night stay at the Abington Hotel. (Myself and 2 x sons were attending a course, had a family room ) Whilst the hotel was clean and warm, the room was ok (although not as nice as the photos). The staff were great and a credit to the hotel. The food however, was...

We stayed here for a couple of nights while visiting Edinburgh area during Tattoo and Festival time. The hotel is in a small town just off the main road, the town has one convenience shop and a bank that opens three mornings week. Our room was very small but clean and with an efficient shower in a tiny en-suite bathroom....

My wife and I did an overnight stay in this hotel whilst travelling in this lovely area of Scotland We had booked a double room with dinner and breakfast. Located under 5 minutes from the M74 and the Abington services. The hotel was very quiet with only one other couple staying. The room was nice, clean and South facing. Dinner...

It's not horrendous, but it's not that good either. Our hotel room is very small but clean, and a little dirty. There's ample parking, and the price seems about right for what you get. But I think next time I'd pay a wee bit more and go to a nicer hotel.

If you were traveling form the north of Scotland to the South of England as we were then this is the perfect half way stoppage. The hotel is just off the M74 and at a very reasonable amount you can enjoy a lovely meal before you retire for the night in a clean comfortable room. You are served a full...
