No frills rustic hotel in Ashford. Staff was super friendly and rooms were adequately clear, though they could have done much better. No AC. No coffee in room but you could buy it in the office/ coffee shop. No, TV. Wifi was very poor though I was surprised they even had it at this location. Decent place to eat right...

If you are on your way to Mt Rainier for a good hike, climb, camping or just spend time around this beautiful national park you should stay at Whittaker's. It is rustic, simple, comfortable and the perfect starting point. This place should charge extra because of the good location but it doesn't. It is great not to be taken advantage...

Enjoyed our stay at Whittaker's. Very rustic but rooms were adequate and clean. Close to mount Rainier. Restaurants nearby. Unable to eat breakfast in their restaurant because waffle machine was having issues. Only drawback of entire stay. Staff friendly and helpful.

This bunkhouse has 2 beds in the ground floor and 4 beds via a narrow and steep ladder to the 2nd floor, shouldn't be a problem since most people there are hikers/climbers. Day time tend to be very warm in the summer as heater is on and the heat directly creep in from roof top. Night time tend to be...

Saw this place on the way up to Mt Rainer and decided we'd stop on our way back down to Tacoma. It was the perfect place to relax after our hike And.. They have the best lavender latte ever! We got ours blended and sat outside and enjoyed chatting with other hikers who were staying there or visiting like us....

whittaker's bunkhouse was a very unique hotel. It lacked basic amenities of normal hotels but made up for it with character and soul. No free breakfast, rooms were average at best, hot tub was lukewarm. But very interesting people that were friendly and exciting. Good location to Mt. Rainier. Would recommend

My girlfriend and I spent last weekend here and absolutely loved it. The bunkhouse is part of a larger complex which has a lively cafe, bar and grill, visitor center, and equipment outfitters. Our room was spacious and spartan. We loved the Veranda and spent our evening sipping beers while watching the sunset. The hot tub was a great respite...

To save money my friend booked this motel as it was the cheapest, still not all that great for the price. Should have paid $30 more and stayed at a better one. We had the twin bed room. The bed was very hard, I didn't mind too much. But the room was tiny! It functioned as a stop for an...

We went for Easter for the scenic railroad trip and stayed overnight at Whittaker bunkhouse. Good location, room #20 was perfect for our family of 3 boys. Clean and quiet and a lovely walk/hike in the back of property. Great hiking historical site. Coffee shop was the highlight for my boys. Great hospitality.

We stayed overnight at Whittaker's. Our room was clean, simple (two twin beds), and very basic. There was no TV or desk. Like others, we found the walls and ceiling to be a bit thin, and we could hear people walking around upstairs above us (but could not hear talking). The wall heater was just fine for the room, and...
