When you can get a travelodge or premier inn room for £30 I don’t expect to pay £50 for the cheapest, thinnest mattress where you can feel the solid base beneath.

Four of us had a meal here on Saturday evening. All of the dishes ordered were very good, including one of the blackboard specials. Service was polite, friendly and efficient. Together with excellent ale and wine, this was extremely good value for money.

This is a great local pub, the service is friendly and they serve great pub food. The mussels were delicious followed by a tasty steak cooked to perfection. The chunky chips are amazing and I loved the home made beer battered onion rings.
We booked at the last minute having been let down by Moggerhanger Park. The 'chalet' was fairly clean and the bed comfortable but that was as far as it goes.
