This hotel is just right. Good sized and super clean and bright rooms. Lovely restored building. Ideal location. Private parking. Generous breakfast. And most importantly, helpful and friendly staff. We spent two nights, saw some of the pretty town of Denia, toured a little inland and enjoyed our room, its balcony and the views. Covid measures were well signed and followed through. For a weekend or mid week off season I cant think of better.
A smart clean Hotel in a prime position. Highest recommendation possible for a Hotel that clearly prides itself on providing a quality service. From arrival at reception to departure we enjoyed our stay at La Posada del Mar and for sure will repeat the experience. Breakfast was good and controlled during the virus tho has to be said a bit slow at busy times as the waitress endeavoured to clear tables, clean, seat people and serve their food and drinks. I think people were generally a little frustrated at waiting to be acknowledged and seated. That said no complaints as the Lady worked very hard to keep up with the demand.
Pleasant hotel, clean and modern rooms in old style. Good matras and pillows, personally prefer a duvet cover instead of sheets. Breakfast choice is OK. Fresh juice and warm breadrolls. A big compliment for the friendly staff at all times. They really do something extra to make you happy, all with a smile. In a difficult business environment its always nice to come back to a hotel where you feel awarded
We booked for a relaxing 2 night birthday break , firstly the road was closed to the car park as there was celebrations on , fire crackers going off and total confusion on parking , we were not advised on this on booking as would not have booked , room was nice but went for a drink in hotel restaurant, to be told u had to sit outside , no map was given on arrival , totally dissapointed, it was not cheap and certainly not 4 star , would not recommend and very disappointed .
I stayed at the hotel for 10 days and my sons joined me over Christmas for 5 days and overall we had a good time as the hotel staff were very welcoming and friendly and the hotel is perfectly situated in the town for exploring and visiting everything on foot.. We had a junior suite with a small balcony overlook the marina, which was a perfect view. The beds were very comfortable and the liken and towels, including robes were of a high quality. The room was spacious with a sofa, coffee table and arm chair to relax. There was a large flat screen TV, unfortunately the only Chanel in English was sky news, which was unfortunate. There was a safe and tea and coffee making facilities as well as a good hairdryer and an iron and ironing board. The bathroom was very large with a full size bath, which is rare in Spain and a shower. A range of toiletries were also provided. The hotel’s restaurant was closed during our stay for refurbishment which was a shame, so did not get to eat at the hotel at all except for breakfast. The breakfast was the only thing we didn’t really enjoy about our stay as it wasn’t of a quality which matched the hotels 4*. It was buffet style, but the choice of food was limited for example there was fresh fruit but only melon or pineapple. The cereal choice was limited and of low quality and the hot food similar, limited, overcooked and dry. Each morning we had to ask for eggs, bacon etc to be cooked fresh as the ones on the buffet had been sat a while and very unappetising. I would have expected for a four star to have a breakfast menu with food cooked fresh to order, with more choice. I hope this is something they will change for the future as we would like to visit again.…
