A wonderful simple hotel with helpful hosts in the delightful medieval town of Besalu Perfectly situated, comfortable room and good breakfast . Has been converted from an old small palace and has several public rooms with old furniture and art. Recommended

A rare find: an extraordinary location in a beautiful medieval town; original tile and decorations preserve the slightly faded elegance of this attractive home (but with modern plumbing). The giant (and gorgeously pruned) wisteria is as old as the 170-year-old balcony it's twined around. Guests who are interested in art will enjoy wandering among our host's large and varied collection.... More

A hotel with a lot of charm and very friendly staff. The room was basic, good AC (July) and two balconies.overlooking garden and bridge.Silent. Breakfast served on the terrace or brought back to the room. I think this is the hotel to choose when visiting Besalu, which is not to be missed.

This hotel/motel is located right next to a beautiful old bridge. I visited it during the off season and was the only visitor during my two nights. The hotel is not a big, and only has a handful of rooms to offer. The room was a bit cold and old, but bathroom was recently renovated. I can only imagine how... More

Very friendly, even though we came in late. Rooms are quite spare but clean. In october nights can get quite cool and we had no heat. The hot shower in the morning was well received... Breakfast was simple but very nice. Friendly Service. Worth being in already in Besalu before all the tourist busses arrive..

We were in room 8 which has double aspect windows overlooking the bridge, comfortable twin beds and shutters. The room is very quiet with a good shower, hairdryer on request. Wi-fi is good throughout the hotel. The breakfast is very good and you can sit on a terrace outside, till 11.30 – no hassles here. There is some interesting art... More

Tired hotel. Needs refurbishment. Basic rooms. Poor breakfast. Reasonable location. Innkeepers are ok. You pay far too much for what you get. Far better options available in town for comparable rates. Best avoid.....................

Reasonable no nonsense hotel with okay rooms on a pretty good location. There are better hotels available on even better locations at more favorable prices. No hairdryer. Poor breakfast. Big barking, though innocent, dog. Friendly owners.
