Jose is the consummate host., nothing is too much trouble. He is so relaxed & friendly it's like staying at your brother's house. Its easy to locate and handy to bars & restaurants but a noisy neighbourhood specially in the front rooms. The rooms are tidy & towels changed daily. Breakfast is basic but fresh & coffee is re offered...

Very clean comfortable accommodation with extremely friendly and helpful staff. Well located though I imagine parking nearby maybe an issue at very busy times. Very reasonable rates included a very good breakfast.. Recommended and we will definitely stay again.

Just back after spending six nights in this great value for money hostal, making it the second time we have stayed here. It is well situated, being about a ten minute stroll to the beach and easy to get to the town centre ie no hills to climb. Good size rooms, comfy beds and a really friendly owner definitely make...

We stayed in this small hotel for 2 days whilst touring Spain. My wife had broken her foot just days before our visit and the owner Jose Luis couldn't have been helpful... He even came out into the street to welcome us when we arrived. The rooms were spotlessly clean ... bed very comfy and we even had the luxury...

We had a room with the window looking out over a small patio. It was quite which was great for our baby. In the morning we had breakfast, simple but good. There was always a chat with the owner in half Spanish, half English. It was fun and we could appreciate his way of communication. Jose Luis helped us with...

We had a fantastic stay at the Hostal Palomares. The owner was so friendly and welcoming, much appreciated thank you! Our room was lovely and bathroom clean. We did have a problem with a blocked shower, but that was quickly sorted without a problem. I always think that how a hotel deals with its problems, rather than the fact that...

We spent a wonderful week at Hostal Palomares and could not have wished for better accommodation. The Palomares is a small, very traditional guest house, which is spotlessly clean throughout and very comfortable. The owner, Jose-Luis, is an amazing host. We were welcomed like old friends and nothing was too much trouble for him. He did everything possible to make...

Stayed for 1 night and were made very welcome by our host who could not have been more friendly and helpful. Our room on the fourth floor was very clean and smart and had a nice terrace with great views. We had tapas at a bar recommended by the owner and were not disappointed. Breakfast was simple but tasty. Amongst...

My husband and I have just spent six days at the hostal Palomares. We arrived late evening after nine thirty to a welcoming smile from Jose. We were shown our room (which was lovely) on the fourth floor. It had a small kitchen and a door which led onto a terrace which had lovely views across Salobrena and to the...

So I booked this hotel based on the strength of its good reviews. Jose Luis , the owner, was wonderfully friendly and welcoming from the start, despite us arriving after ten pm! We managed to cross the language barrier with broken Spanish and English to communicate fairly well, he was able to recommend places to eat and to give us...
