Was here for a week in March, on a walking holiday with 'Preferred Travel' (excellent value holiday). Large room overlooking the pool (paid a small single occupancy supplement) Hotel clean & tidy with friendly staff on reception & in the bar. Very busy at the weekend, quieter during the week. Meals all buffet style. Breakfast excellent with lots of choice...

Generally the hotel was excellent but was let down by the catering facilities. Breakfast - OK but cooked food lacked variation. There was always a queue waiting at the one coffee/tea/etc machine. Dinner - There was a fairly good choice of main courses but they were very variable in quality from excellent to undercooked and inedible! Desserts lacked variation throughout...

I went here on the 7th March for 14 nights. The rooms are spacious Hotel OK but the food is absolutely rubbish. I asked for a poached egg. No we don't do that. Asked for an omelette. No we don't do that. I expected the food to be a lot better as I Booked with SAGA. It's also very very...

Well appointed modern hotel in a peaceful area. Meals were buffet style and were excellent Staff friendly and helpful. I found the bed was on the hard side which didn't make for a comfortable night's sleep It's about an hours walk along the promenade road to the centre of Almunecar, although there are buses (not too frequent). For the price...

We enjoyed our months stay at this hotel , the rooms are large well kept very clean and tidy. The restaurant is very basic , no frills but food was good . The Spa is a hidden gem and well worth a visit. Several reviews mention the location of the hotel and I have to agree with them as if...

We spent two nights there (14th and 15th February) The room was quite large and clean and warm, the bar of soap was small and we finished it on day two. If you ever needed to see how the economies of scale and mass production together have brought inexpensive holidays to the general public this is an ideal example. It...

This hotel is located a good hour's walk from Almunecar although there are buses into town half a dozen times a day. In winter, the only nearby bars, by the beach, are only open at the weekend so if you want a change from the hotel it involves a long trip out. For this reason also it makes sense to...

The food was excellent with much choice. However, the dining room was too brightly lit and resembled a canteen. The bar reminded me of a working men's club. The staff were friendly, I'm in two minds as to whether I would return to this hotel, a big plus was the excellent bedroom, it was large and comfortably furnished with an...

The bed was HUGE and very comfy. The room was spacious. Nice area next to a small pebble beach. A lovely walk into town. Good variety of food. Cannot think of anything negative. We enjoyed it all. Would definitely book again.

The Hotel is in a great position at the end of Almunecar Bay and overlooking the nice darker sandy bay opposite. The Food was Excellent with both the lunch and dinner selection of dishes changing for each visit and many dishes catering for a mixed clientel although the Hotel is mainly Spanish occupied. All areas are Very clean and our...
