There's much to be said about this lovely inn, but I will stick to the essentials. It's difficult to find a place with so many qualities and such a warm atmosphere. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable without being pretentious, and the whole house is very cosy (and impeccable!), with coffee and tea available at all times. The garden is... More

The rooms are spotlessly clean and beautiful and have wood floors. The public areas of the inn are great - there are places to sit and read or chat and the outside garden and pond are beautiful. Rick and Kathy are excellent hosts and are warm and welcoming and have great suggestions on things to do in the area. There... More

We received a very warm welcome from Kathy who took us on a tour round the various public areas of the inn - we especially liked the different areas you could sit to read or chat to other guests. Our room was spacious and had the luxury of a spa bath as well as a shower - I needed the... More

On our 11 day trip around New England this inn is without the question the most welcoming and comfortable inn we have stayed in and all have been good. From the moment you walk in the hospitality is outstanding and you get taken around the house and you think why didn't I come here sooner and stay longer . The... More

At a B&B, the hosts can really make your experience extraordinary. Owners Kathy and Rick did that and much more. They made us feel at home immediately upon arrival. The room was so comfy cozy. The dining room views were gorgeous and peaceful. The "piece de resistance" was the culinary delights prepared by Chef (and owner) Rick. He has the... More

Spent 2 nights here and would have loved to have spent more! This is a delightful house - beautifully decorated, tastefully furnished, impeccably clean! Kathy the owner, showed us round on our arrival and we were so impressed. Our room was excellent - first time I have ever needed steps to get into bed!! Beautiful en- suite too. Breakfast was... The Inn has more common areas inside and out for guest to use than any inn that I have ever stayed. The crisp and cheerful lines of the exterior is your first clue that you are in for something special. The owners lived in NYC before deciding to open the Jackson House. They did their homework and it has paid... More

As other reviewers have stated, we have also stayed in inns all over the world, Jackson House Inn is right on top of the group! We loved it here...I think the warm welcome, the lovely grounds, the attention to detail and the love that has been put into this property grabs you right away. I usually find one or two... More

We are experienced travelers with visits to 111 countries under our belt. We have stayed in all types of facilities including many B&Bs. We tell you of our "credentials" only because we want the reader to understand just how strongly feel about the Jackson House Inn and the owners Rick and Kathy Terwelp. Lots of B&Bs have wonderful accommodations. Some... More

We travel quite a bit and have probably stayed at close to 100 B&B's over the years. We were fortunate enough to spend 2 nights at The Jackson House Inn recently and can honestly say we have never stayed at a more lovely B&B. Rick and Kathy, the owners and hosts, have gone way above and beyond to ensure that... More

Locally-sourced, organic products are featured in a memorable multi-course full breakfast served at individual tables in our dining room, and non-alcoholic hot and cold beverages are available at all times. Wines, beers and spirits are available in the late afternoon/early evening. Stroll three acres of grounds including a freshwater pond and perennial gardens or gaze at the landscape from patios, balconies and chairs on the lawn.
