We had a wonderful weekend at the Canterbury House. Sue and Bob are wonderful hosts. The house is spotless and the rooms very nice and comfortable. Beds were comfy. Bathrooms aren't overly large, but they were what I expected in an older house. It's just a short walk into the village, so you can park your car and walk into...

My wife and I were turned away because we have a 9 month old. Thanks a lot. We stay at bed and breakfasts all the time, this is the first time we have been turned down because of our daughter. Seemed surprised we even suggested bringing our baby.

Last fall, my husband and I spent two nights at the Canterbury House. It is within easy walking distance to the main town sites in Woodstock. Actually, with the fall foliage and crisp autumn air, the walk was lovely. The hosts are friendly and informative. Our room was comfortable enough. The bathroom was very small, but we understand that it...

After parking in back of the house, our host Bob, put us in a quaint 1.5 bedroom and gave us several suggestions where to have dinner in Woodstock, Vermont. We chose to eat at Richardson's Tavern which is in the Woodstock Inn and Resort and we parked there. Their clam chowder is delicious, and the baked lobster mac and cheese...

We recently spent a very enjoyable 5 days in the Canterbury House during the Vermont leaf season. Bob and Sue are great hosts, very welcoming and friendly. We got the full house tour upon our arrival - a very spacious common room, comfortable and very clean bedrooms with private bathrooms, and the piece-de-resistance, the breakfast room, where Sue works her...

“We stayed in the Parson's Tale room which is on the front corner of the building. This gives windows on two sides of the room giving a nice outlook and plenty of light. There is some traffic noise, so if this bothers you try to get a room at the back. The bathroom didn't have a bath, just a shower cubicle and it was quite cramped, although I guess that is to be expected in a building of this age.”
